Apparently this is a ways away yet, but...
TOTAL WAR: Gunpowder Empires
...is already being mapped out. Apparently the concept is located more regionally, rather than globe-spanning like ETW. Key regions, each with their own campaign scenario will include India 1675-1875; South Africa (1851-1914); and China (1837-1905).
Sounds fun to me. So polish up that Martini-Henry and get ready to roll!
