Being better than the worst does not inherently make you good. But being better than the rest lets you brag.

Muslims killing muslims for not being muslim enough.

Such a great foundation for society.

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

Yes I know it's all the west fault, you have been quite clear on that. Every time a muslim kills another muslim its because the west has driven a wedge between what should be two brothers in arms (against the west of course).

I'm just glad the UAE is helping its muslims brothers in their time of need by taking in 0 refugees.

We give you jobs. Get it straight. Texans should drill their own oil maybe, lets see how that works.

Texans do drill their own oil sweeheart, how do you think we learned in the first place? Texans drill your oil because your society values luxury and decadence over managing your own natural resources. Texans drill your oil, your Indian slaves build those gaudy skyscrapers, seems to be the MO.

Was that supposed to be insulting? "LOL we cant figure this out, here western companies take our resources"

And there it is. Can't be bothered to do the work yourself so you import people you believe to be lesser to do it for you.

My values do not lie in your rampant materialism.

Yet they still don't demonize Muslims. Russia is a friend make no mistake.

Can't wait until some of the idiots in the ME realize this.

My God says I must love you, you make it really hard.

Americans are far from perfect but the Revolutionary War is pretty much the only anti-colonial uprising/civil war ever to produce a democracy whilst the war was on going and then stick with it. George Washington is also pretty much the only revolutionary military leader to give up power after winning such a war twice.

What is happening in Lebanon is terrible, it is one of the greatest tragedies in the entire sorry story of the Middle East. Lebanon is secular democracy which is also an ethnic melting pot and the Islamists just can't stand it.

Anyway, aren't Lebanese people Phoenicians with with Greeks and Latins? I think that makes them "white folks" according to racists Western historiography.

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
`My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away".

So you've landed on the moon?

Women have the vote, can drive?

    Invented the Internet?

    Invented nuclear power plants?
Our genes maybe in the basement but it does not stop us chosing our point of view from the top.

We could've done without the moon, and women can drive and have the vote. If you're asking what we've done for humanity, than probably nothing significant. Lets make sure we get the opportunity.
