Default Ancient Empires mod for Attila

So this actually looks really good. The overall mechanics from Attila were so much better than Rome 2 so I look forward to seeing an earlier setting for the game which is about expansion and not just survival. Wont have time to play it until I reach winter break but this looks really good.
    Thoughts?

That video annoyed me on so many levels...... First of all it said how far will you go? How far will I go for what? A Cheeseburger? A paper clip? Uggh I hate unfinished ideals.

Also, this is obviously centered around rome (my least favorite faction) but gives 0 in the way of details. Can we play other factions?

Finally, you said that you want to play expansion over survival...... so in essence you want to play a late game campaign? Survival is the key to why total war is fun. Scrap up from nothing and build your empire. There is no fun in being handed a powerhouse with really nothing to face it.

Centered on Rome? I didnt think that at all. Yes you can play other factions besides Rome. I think you are being a little hard on these modders.

And what I meant by expansion versus survival is not having a Sword of Damocles hanging over you at all times. Thats what I want, to be able to play the game and not have to worry about the Hunnic hordes or some super harsh winter bear down on you. Personal preference I guess.

Besides, having some of the gameplay aspects from Attila like the family tree but in an early Roman era would be awesome.

I had been following that via TWC for a while, lost track of it though.
I had the impression there were some significant issues around the changing map/settlements, is that stuff fixed?

A bunch of Attila functionality would be pretty cool in the Rome period.
maybe those guys should be doing something more useful...

Very pretty trailer. Makes me want to start up a campaign.

So the custom battles section of the mod was released. Not the campaign section yet. Which is probably a good thing because I wouldnt have time to play it really anyways.
