    Greetings Europa Barbarorum fans.

    You are free to send me anything via email (option in my profile) or via private message if you want (requests, questions, reports, feedback etc you don't want to share here)

    Today, we have a very special announcement for you. The release of a patch for our mod, Europa Barbarorum, for (now) the Rome Total War engine: EB 1.3!

    This is stand alone so you need to remove everything and after that install this. For now compatible with nothing.

    Extract into your RTW folder after you installed EB 1.31a Alex. You need first the EB 1.31a Alex to install EB 1.31b.
    No save game compatible with ongoing 1.31a campaigns. Start a new campaign after you install this.

    Installation of EB 1.3

    You need to install EB 1.3 into your Rome Total War Alexander or if you have it already installed into your Rome Total War folder, copy the folder EB into your Rome Total War Alexander Folder

    Installation Steam Info

    Copy the EBI shortcut you have in your desktop and rename it to EBI Alex. Go to properties and change the last part after destination from -applaunch 4760 -show_err -mod:eb
    to -applaunch 4770 -mod:eb -nm -show_err -noalexander

    You need to have purchased Alexander Total War from Steam.

    Example:
    "F:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 4770 -mod:eb -nm -show_err -noalexander

    Installation Retail Info

    Make a shortcut of RomeTW-ALX from your Rome Total War Alexander folder and rename it to EBI Alex. Add after the destination this: -mod:EB -nm -show_err -noalexander.

    Example:
    "F:\Games\Rome Total War Alexander\RomeTW-ALX.exe" -mod:EB -nm -show_err -noalexander
    Don't forget the space.

    really appreciate all the work you guys still do. i still bust this game out at least once a year. i hear this version will have pergamon. i hope you make an alex version. I was going to do it myself but I cannot find the thread explaining how.

    Well supposed 1.22 would have pergamon but this changed.

    some download links are the download links from mediafire are broken they cannot find the file of are deleted

    I can't get the hotfix (and several of the other MediaFire links) to download either. Could it be that it is set to be unavailable to the general public?

    Actually, there are several dead links: the hotfix, map, no-borders and fatigue links. If these are obsolete, perhaps the initial post could be edited to remove them? Because this is not clear to a newcomer.

    Alright guys, awesome mod, just registered on the forums. I've got to ask - did I do something wrong or is this a bug: I started a Romani campaign and everything is fine but with Karthadastim I couldn't save or load the game (I always activate the script). I tried ending the turn, also read somewhere to try and delete the preferences folder, all this failed. I don't usually play with Carthage but I wanted to try a campaign with them in EB. Did I do something wrong? BTW I use RTW Alex 1.9. Anyway thanks again for the great mod.

    Hello slitebg, welcome to the Org and to EB .

    The problem you describe does sound very strange. What do you mean by "can't save or load the game"? Are the buttons not available, is no save file generated, does the game crash?

    Given that Alex EB isn't officially supported by the team, you might want to ask over at the Alexander Europa Barbarorum thread.

    Thanks for the quick reply. Ah, silly me, forgot to pinpoint the issue! I've come across it on other forums but info is really scarce. The problem is the Save/Load Game buttons on the campaign 'esc' menu are greyed out. I haven't tried the Ctrl+S shortcut, that might work but it's still not ideal, like you know quicksave suffers the same problems like autosave.

    Anyway, sorry, I had no idea Alex EB was not officially supported so I'll try this other thread. I posted here because all the install info about EB 1.3 Alex was here.

    Will the original post be updated to reflect v1.31c as mentioned at the secondary forums (TWC)? Is the Org's EB forum considered deprecated?

    Hi there, I posted on the other total war forum (The official one) about instructions on how o install this mod but I think here would be best. I have downloaded both 1.31a and b and extracted them both to R:TW Alexander (I have steam version). I also downloaded 1.3 itself and it's in my Alexander folder. What do I do now? I have no desktop icon for it and I don't know how to get it to do the applaunch thing. Please help, thanks.

    EDIT: It is now saying I have no install of RTW, I have RTW Gold, is there a difference?

    EDIT 2: I'm getting an error stating that it can't read a censored word?? "Failed to read censored dictionary word eb//chat_filter.san"

    I have a question. In the EBBS 4 turn per year script you have eliminated the year "0". The original 1.2 files have script for year "0". I will probably never play that far but is this to fix a bug? I have to assume you did this for a reason.
