HK-47 is a boss fight in The Foundry, a mid level 30s dungeon as well as another surprise from the kotor games being the final boss.

HK also makes another appearance elsewhere in the game, and in patch 1.3, it will be possible to obtain an HK-51 model droid as a bonus companion character, who will follow you around and help you on quests.

Yeah I just saw some videos. Somehow he does not sound all that funny in an MMO.....but maybe that's just me.

It gets much worse if you read the revan novel that sets the stage for the game.. just.. just don't read it. If you are a kotor fan it will make you very sad indeed.

To their credit some of the storylines in SWTOR are very good, far better than an mmo story ever had a right to be. But they burned down a lot of fan favorites in the process of establishing a canon to work from. Kreia and the Exile in specific got the worst of it, my two favorite characters.

    Minecraft time!

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

This is one of my quarries. The drill bit automatically moves from block to block, extracting everything until it hits lava or bedrock.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

This is my quarry setup. My previous quarries are on the right. Currently, I'm running the quarry on a Geothermal Generator supplemented with my main power source using glass fibre optics. The stuff that comes out of the quarry gets pumped out through the pipes to...

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

...the diamond pipe section. It will filter any item I set, so that items I want to keep goes one way, and the junk stone and dirt go another.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

These are where my ores are taken to. They are first deposited into the Rotary Macerator which grinds up the ore into dust. 1 ore = 2 dust, and 1 dust = 1 bar when smelted. When it's done grinding, the pipes move the dust into the Induction Furnace where they are properly smelted, and then taken to my chest. Also in the picture is my second diamond pipe. Anything that goes through the first filter pipe but cant be smelted is filtered through this pipe directly to my chest, so uranium and coal wont clog up the system.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The crap, on the other hand, gets send to my Energy Condenser. It converts anything into anything. Say I want to convert cobblestone into diamonds... it can do that. But it works off of the Equivalent Exchange EMC system of value. A cobblestone block is worth 1 EMC, whereas a single diamond is worth over 8000, so if I used only my quarry, it will take me ages to get a diamond. Thankfully, I have my Energy Collector (the block underneath my Glowstone) which converts light into free EMC. It's slow, but it helps supplement my diamond craze.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

This is my sustainable power source. In the back there are my solar panels, which obviously work only in the day. They collect 1 EU/t each, which is pretty crummy, but it's free. It's supplemented by redstone engines hooked up to my power grid. Sustainable energy is pretty crappy, so what do I use to power my industry with?

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

This. My behemoth. My fully-encased nuclear reactor. Entombed in a layer of water and reinforced stone, it wont harm me (much) if it goes critical. On the left is my Mass Fabricator, which converts raw energy into UU-mass, which can make almost anything you want. It requires HEFTY amounts of power, which is why I stick it close to my reactor.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

This is the inside of my nuclear reactor. This is classified as a Mark I, as there is absolutely no chance it will melt down since the uranium cells are draining quicker than the coolant is heating up. Only an idiot can mess it up. Sadly, it also means I'm not outputting as much power as I'd like. Risk vs Reward, and all that.

Nah, that's Sword of the Stars 1 with all the expansions. SotS2 is still very unpolished and crash-prone, but its also much prettier to look at.

That particular game I'm playing Hivers on a 126 Star Cluster Map with two Tarka Empires, two Morrigi Empires, and a Human Empire. Its turn 450 or so, everyone's got max tech, the Humans and Morrigi have been wiped out, and I'm locked in an epic struggle with one of the Tarka Empires. The other Tarka faction was my ally, but they've downgraded to a non-agression pact since I started the war with their brothers. The AI can be very sentimental about genocide sometimes.

    *Here's SotS2.

It keeps freaking crashing on me. When it doesn't crash, its actually pretty good.

*Last time I played it was maybe two days ago. Apparently its something to do with having a 64-bit system thats giving me such frequent crashing. Lots of people on their forums are apparently going entire games without crashing, which would be pretty sweet.

Sometimes in DayZ you will come across a corpse only it looks like someone who is standing upright and nothing is wrong. The only indication you'll get that something is a-miss is that they won't fall over no matter how many times you shoot them.

Speaking of DayZ. I must be crazy because I like playing this mod solo while most people swear the best fun is to be had in groups. I dig the paranoia it inspires in you when it's you against the world, undead and living alike. You're looking over your shoulder every two minutes, raiding towns quick and fast where every mistake could be your last...

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

And then you do silly stuff like this.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I was on my way to Green Mountain, which for non-DayZ initiated is a military radio antennae/base in the south west of the map. It's a large installation surrounded by trees and is pretty much one of the map's main land marks... when I stumbled across a bike. It was just sitting there on the edge of the trees that surround Green Mountain. There's no way it spawned there naturally, who in the world would just... Oh crap.

Without thinking i stole the bike and took off. I biked through the map for hours. Forget killing zombies, forget rebuilding civilization, gotta go fast
