I am so excited for this mod to finally be realeased. Especially for the Polish Husaria, one of the coolest units in all of historical combat. When do you think the mod will be realeased?

Another thing, has anyone seen With Fire and Sword? If not, you should check it out. Its set during the Cossack wars in Poland and features amazing acting and battles.

I would be ready with the entire techtree stuff, but I have to be in Dublin tomorrow ( third time - another elections in Poland) and because it is 10 hours' travell it will take the entire day. Anyway in the next week I will start doing new historical battles and proceed with ECW expansion.

I think I will release the next version as PMTW 1.5, because it lacks several things I can't do on my own.

Still I am going to make it the best MTW VI mod... we will see

May I ask how many new units there will be in 1.5?

    Because:

    1. Romanian and Hungarian rosters were completely changed,
    2. There will be ECW campaign with new factions and units on VI map of British Isles,
    3. Some units will have different stats, pictures even descriptions in different eras,
    4. Some units will evolve - different stats and building requirements in different eras ( new special ability ->evolving unit),
    5. I have found more ideas for new units than I really believed possible

    - there will be more than 180 new units in release 1.5.

In fact the overal number of the new units in PMTW comparing it to MTW VI reaches... 1000 !!!

    180 new units are much!

With such many units in 1.5 every era must be filled to the 256-unitlimit (god how I hate that limit!!) I assume?

Do you have an estimated time for release?

Btw, why do you have to go to Dublin when it is election in Poland?

I want to announce that I will release version 1.5 quite soon because I can't find anyone to improve animations in the mod

For now release 1.5 will be available before xmas, but in 2-3 weeks time I want to start tests.
Obviously I will need some people to do it so please volunteer ! :P

I don't need too many testers so only those who inform me sooner will be included in the process.

    Release 1.5 will include:

    - new animations,
    - around 180 new units,
    - ECW campaign on VI map of British Isles,
    - new historical battles,
    - new portrait sets,
    - some new music themes,
    - new campaign map ( not the final one - this one is borrowed )
    - about 70 completely new buildings,
    - more than 100 new heroes
    and other stuff.

    Regards Cegorach

Hi, I really enjoyed the first version of Pike and Musket and would be happy to help test this new version if the offer is still open than is. Thought the late french were cool in the original (all those kings musketteers) and the early swiss were pretty fun too.

Of course I will give you feedback for 1.5, No doubt in that, but I have a hell of a lot too do now. If you could release the testversion next week I will be able to test it out properly, but otherwise, I´m afraid I can´t, and will have to wait for the "real" 1.5. Anyway good luck with finding an animator! I really hope you do...

    Here is the new map.
It is from Medieval XL thanks to VikingHorde who proposed it much earlier, but we had our project ( which failed because of lack of support at that time), so I didn't care.
For now it will be our campaign map, but we will need a new one anyone.

New provinces in the map and their possession:

SCANIA - Danemark in all eras -> it will make wars between Sweden and Danemark more interesting,

    ESTONIA - Livonia - early,
    Sweden - high and late,

Baltic provinces will be more interesting to conquer. Sweden and Livonia will get a substantial bonus to income and recruitment.

GREATER POLAND - Poland all eras.

AI needs some support in using this faction, this should help a little.

LEVEDIA & LESSER KHAZAR - Crimean Tatars in all eras.

It will make a great difference, this way the faction will make much greater impact and have more freedom in the game.

MESOPOTAMIA - rebels - early, late,
    Persia - high,

More recruitment power and income to Persia, more time to conquer the region, but overall I am interested in removing several provinces in Middle East.

ALGARVE - Portugal in all eras

Should increase survival rate of Portugal, but Azores would be much better anyway.

SAVOY - rebels in early and high,
    Savoy - in late

Something more to fight for in western Europe.

MURCIA - Spain - all eras

Should help Spain in dominating the game.

I HAVE FINISHED IMPLEMENTING THE NEW TECHTREES.
This means that I will not add anymore, unless I have a very good reason.

Here is the list of factions and number of buildings they have. I am evil , so I wan't add their names, except some:

Wandering Actor Troupes, Printer, Opera House, the Conquest of Syberia, Escurial, The road to India - no more.

    POLAND - 6,
    RUSSIA - 7,
    COSSACKS - 1,
    SWEDEN - 3,
    HOLLAND - 3,
    FRANCE - 6,
    SPAIN - 6,
    ENGLAND - 1,
    PORTUGAL - 3,
    VENICE - 1,
    MOLDAVIA - 2,

    SHARED - 27,

+ there are buildings which changed their purpose almost completely.

In addition I have removed several older buildings.

Overall you will see a new building/structure trees which will be interesting to explore, I believe.

    One more thing

I don't really need research ( except hero stuff and fulfilling old promises ) and if you want to volunteer please add 2 preferred factions you want to try.

    Escurial
El Escorial - is the name of the palace. San Lorenzo del Escorial - is the name of the place where it is located.

ECW won't appear in testing version - only in the final one.

I will need more time to work on historical battles and ECW, so the testing release will not include them. Still there will be more than enough to try.

Many new units appear in the new release 94 ( excluding those from ECW campaign) - if I counted correctly comparing to PMTW 1.0.

Because I am evil I will just mention some of their names without any descriptions or anything else, you can only guess who will get them:

Dragouni, Jarakisa, Kulogli, Algierian Lancers, Moss Troopers, Karolinska Ryttare, Guerrillada Restauracaro, Covenant Pikemen, Piqueiros do novo exercito, Hampas, Skilopere, Gwardia Piesza, Swiss Skirmishers, Poteshnyi, Gardes Francaises, Corazzieri, Armenian Archers, Sfakioti, Oprychniki, Cimaroons, Livonian Lancers, Iyalaras, Order Incendiary Musketeers, Rotularii, Rosiori and many, MANY, MANY more...

The testers will see them first, but the list was closed on Wednesday so REGRET if you are not one of them.
Ha, ha - insert diabolical laugher - ha, ha !

I will upload/send the testing version on Monday morning
