I know that polls outside the guild not always represent the truth. And I cannot judge the sources. Maybe someone knows better.

Yes, I ve seen the results before. It was to be expected. You can take propaganda only that far, soon people see through it.
Of course there are some who see but prefer to stick their head in the sand like an ostrich...

The values seem to fluctuate quite a bit which suggests that either people can't make up their minds or that their sample size is too small.

The Pew Center (that you linked) has a reputation for statistical integrity, if that is your question. They are, however, viewed as a left-leaning organization by some right-leaning organizations, whose polls sometimes show opposite opinions.
Be well. Do good. Keep in touch.
Lies, damned lies and statistics then? The Pew Center (that you linked) has a reputation for statistical integrity, if that is your question. They are, however, viewed as a left-leaning organization by some right-leaning organizations, whose polls sometimes show opposite opinions.

Im amazed that the statics still say we did the right thing . In fact they look pretty damn good considering the propoganda spewed forth by the mainstream press both here and abroad Yes the BBC is the mainstream press if there ever was such a thing. If not for the internet and talk radio we would probably be withdrawing from there already.
Oh and Fox News

Sadly, 'tis so, IMO. For every Pew Center poll result, one can find (for example) a refuting Cato Institute poll result. Both using the same random statistical data-gathering methods.Originally Posted by Al Khalifah

I've read some of the Cato "Research" and it is clearly an example of Bush style studies: determine the answer, then do the study and interpret the data to get the answer you want (sweeping the rest under the rug.) Their evaluation of Supply Side Economics is a classic of fiction that I stumbled onto while looking up stats.Originally Posted by KukriKhan
