    Default James Bond

I was watching a Bond flick the other day, and I got too thinking (well as much thinking as Bond films allow):

Who is the best Bond? Well Sean Connery, easily.

What is the best film? I have no idea... hmm. Obviously a Connery one, possibely Goldfinger, but I don't know.

What is the best Bond Girl? I have no idea again...

What is it about this film serious that is so popular? An even harder stumper. I have no idea, so I'd thought I'd ask you all.

What is the best theme song? Well this is even easier than the first question. Live and Let Die, since it's McCartney...

What are you're opinons on this? Whose you're favorite Bond? Which movie is better? And which Bond Girl is the most attractive? What is it about Bond that people like? Or why don't you like Bond?

"But if you should fall you fall alone,
If you should stand then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home."

Great Topic if, looking for a great Bond site try http://jamesbondandbeyond.com/Forum/...=&id=&t=&f=&st

I am a mod there so I am sure that we will get you in easilly

However I, in many ways must dissagree with your Bond choices here is they are and why

Best Bond: Roger Moore ! Conery was Great as Bond and later on in his carrear he is the better actor of the two. But Moore defined what Bond should be, always had the right retort to either the villian, delivered it with unparaleled smoothness, contrary to popular belief could kill in cold blood ( watch TSWLM or FYEO if you dissagree)

Best Bond film: haild by many fans, critics and the producer and cast themselves as the best The Spy Who Loved Me ( From Russia With Love Ranks up there with it)

Best Bond Girl: Once again fan and Critic alke hail her as on of if not the best Barbra Bachs Anya Amasova

It is so popular because of the simple fact men want to be him and women want to have him.

I would probably aggree with you though on Live and Let Die as the Best theme

    That a good enough anwser.

I don't like any Bond movies, are too stupid to eat. Anyway the best chick is Halle Berry (is it written like that?) and the best song is without doubt Live and Let Die, but the one sang by the Guns n' Roses.

I don't know, but a lot of his quips just seemed very cheesy to me.

-Never liked a James Bond movie, I think they're horrible but if I have to choose the best bond I'll say Sean Connery since I know it's a good actor.
-The best bond girl? a lot will say Halleberry I sopose but I don't like her really that much.
-Live and Let Die, I guess since those songs like; license to kill etc are really bad.

Damn, I forgot to ask best villian.

And Moore isn't bad, but a lot of his stuff is quite cheesy. I mean, Moonraker? It may not be soley his fault, but I like Connery a lot better, if only for his hilarous shlury way of talking.

I like every Bond except pierce Brosnan (sp?).
Grew up with Roger Moore, and the first one I saw in Cinemas was Octopussy. So it will always be a bit special.
But best over all... mmh. Goldfinger. With Octopussy and Thunderball a close second. No special reason, just very enjoyable movies.
Best villains : Goldfinger and jaws. To bad Gert Froebe (Goldfinger)didn't do more movies in english, though he did one or two.
Best Bond Girl: The redheaded evil chick from Thunderball. Rrrrh.
Best Song: Goldfinger, Live and let Die and View to a Kill

I hated every James Bond flick after but including goldeneye.
I like popcorn cinema, and I don't mind that all evils can't hit a building from two feet away. But that a russian Tank (T72?) can outrun a high speed train , so fast as to aproach through the tunnel to advance towards the train.... that... did.... it.

    Best Bond is definitely Connery.

Best flick, hmm... a toss up between Goldfinger and Dr. No

Best Bond girl? One who was not, sadly, in a Connery version. The best Bond girl, bar none, is the incomparably beautiful Sophie Marceau from The World is Not Enough and, of course, Braveheart.

    Hmm... for best:

    Bond: Connery
    Villain: Blofeld
    Film: Goldeneye
    Song: Living Daylights - A-ha
Girl: Denise Richards (Dr Christmas Jones) - ok so she's crap at acting, but we've all seen Wild Things right?

    For worst:

    Bond: Lazenby
    Villain: Elliot Carver
    Film: Die Another Day
Song: Die Another Day - Madonna
Girl: Natalya Fyodorovna Simonova (Izabella Scorupco)

Some of the things done in his movies where but then again the blame for that falls on the writters does'nt it. And Remember they did the same with Diamonds Are Forever. Still he delivered them well.

First Bond flick I ever saw was Diamonds Are Forever at a drive in. Me and my buddy lying on the roof of the station wagon, his parents in the front seats below. Must have been in '71 when I saw it. I was seven that summer, but I very clearly remember Jill St-John.

    Connery was the best.

Love most of the Connery flicks. A few of Roger Moore's are ok. Most of the rest are either just good, not very good, or simply awful.

    Best bond: Connery
Best Girl: Either Pussy Galore or that chick from the Spy who Loved Me
Best Villain: Ernst Stavo Blofeld of course! How can you forget the master villain who always evades death? Goldfinger is awesome too, but Scaramanga is the man!
Best Song: Live and Let Die, the Wings Version. Coming in next is probably Diamonds are Forever.
Best Movie: Goldfinger, the Man with the Golden Gun, Live and Let Die, and From Russia with Love, in that order.

    Worsts!
    Bond: Lazenby
Girl: That annoying ***** from Die Another Day, Halle Berry was it?
    Song: Die Another Day
    Villian: Sir Eliot Wuss..er..Carver
Movie: Die Another Day, no comparison.

    Special Mentions.
Goldeneye: A good movie altogether, though a good deal of it sucked, the Villians kicked ***, the opening did too, and most of all, the Leningrad..er..St. Petersburg Tank chase.
Die Another Day: For sucking so badly, it gets mentioned twice.
Thunderball: Having one of the coolest scenes in Bond history, where Bond harpoons the dude (I dunno why, but I always loved that scene).
Diamonds are Forever: Because the weirdo villains were humourus
    And last but not least
GOLDFINGER: For being a great movie.

Well looks is a matter of taste, appearently we have different taste.

As far as for acting ability and the Dizty campy role she played, though that was probably the writers fault, is defenitely not the best.

Better to watch Barbra Bach instead

I believe the Aston Martian DB5 ( affectionately know as the bond mobile) is the name you are looking for ,said to be the most famous car in the world. Still my vote would go for the Lotus Esprit

I have read all of the Ian Fleming books. I"ve seen all the films. Connery gets my best Bond vote. The soundtrack with the entire pre-Goldeneye era's opening track plus some other James Bond tracks (20 or so) is worth owning. I remember buying the N64 simply for Goldeneye. Oh man, good times.
