MTW + Catalyst drivers

I know its not the right forum to ask, but I haven't had much luck searching the tech forum for my problem.

I've got a Radeon 9700pro 128mb and a windows xp sp1 OS. CPU = 2.8 gigHT. The latest DivX of course.
The game experiences CTDs at one point or another lately. I had it years before as well but that was a soundcard driver thing (sounblaster live!, very old). At any rate I was able to fix it by downloading some drivers.

But lately I've been getting CTDs again. I suspect it may be that MTW doesn't like my catalyst drivers (though I'm not sure). Should I go find some older drivers or is there a way I can keep my catalyst drivers?
Or could the CTDs be caused by something else?

I've got close to the same setup, 9700 Pro 128, XP SP1, CPU = Athlon(3200?). I've run MTW with some older Catalyst drivers, and just recently updated to the latest drivers (Catalyst 5.13). Can't say I've had any problems with it yet, definitely haven't had CTDs.

Edit-> Actually, I must have the 5.12 drivers (at work now, can't check). They just put out 5.13 yesterday. 5.12 was just released on Dec 8th, I wonder if they found a problem...

My setup is also similar (9800 Pro) - I'm using the latest Omega drivers (based on ATI Catalyst) without any problems - can play the game for days without issue.
