    It would have been nice to expand a little bit to the north and have the greek colonies from Scythia Minor in the game... Callatis, Tomis and Histria, and also the Getae... they had a very complex diplomaticall/military relation

    Yes, I agree it would have been very nice, an expanded map to the east towards the Phoenecian coast also would have been nice but if I remember correctly, it was the map water/land mass ratio limit that wouldn't allow us to have a bigger map. The area we're focusing on already has too many large bodies of water as it is.

    I think the island of Crete was also moved a few pixels to the north because of this, but don't tell anyone, it's a secret....

    when it is ready there is no point releasing it until the game at least resembles what it will be like in more than just graphics.

    Well there hasnt been any new previews recently as me and snevets have been busy with other things so we have some screenies from my testing of the latest team build

    So here we are :)

    Battle at Naxos

    The Ionian Leagues forces sail to one of the isles of the Aegean (Naxos) The forces are composed mostly of troops from the city of Samos and is led by a strategos of this city.

    Samian Hoplites battle with enemy marines and akonistai



    Hoplites rigid formation is next to useless in the narrow streets and fiece fighting breaks out



    Ionian Marines outflank the enemy soldiers



    Samian Hoplites smash into the rear of the the defenders of naxos.



    Ionian Hoplites defending naxos despratly try and hold the line to prevent reforcing marines from renforcing the assault




    Battle at Mytilene


    Having taken naxos into the league the leaders of the Ionian League decide that Mytilene must be taken and her power added to theirs to have any chance against the Persian Barbarians, although for the moment the truce between them and the King of Persia holds, they know that the Persian desires will soon bring them into conflict, and thus a force composed of troops from the isle of Chios is dispatched.

    The small garrison in Mytilene tries to hold the centre street so re-enforcements from the surroundings can reach the city in time



    The Mytilenian renforcements rush to relieve their city but are met by a mass of Chian and Ionian Hoplites



    The Ionian Marines begin to outflank the rigid hoplite formation in the centre of the city.



    The last few defenders are overwhelmed Mytilene is forced into the League against Persia and any unforeseen foes.

    depends on your definition of soon, it will be out as soon as we are able to get most of what we want ingame. as you can see graphics wise we are getting along quite well scripts and things like that are not as far along. Rest assured when we have a date we will certainly let people know.

    Updated the Independant City Units thread. 2 units from the Greek colonies in Italy. Hoplites from the cities of Sybaris and Kyme, here .

    Excellent work guys ... but .. M2TW is now the new standard . is this portable?

    I wouldn't do too many scripts, EB runs like a dog on my machine because it's scripted to death. start - slow down - start - low down etc etc.

    If you port, you probably won't need as many scripts.

    This mod is TOOOO EXCELLENT to be left behind.

    Basically we want to release Heg on BI 1.6 as planned.
    I haven't even tried M2TW yet, so I don't know if we can easily port Hegemonia from BI to M2TW. If it's not too much work maybe we'll consider giving it a try...

    Glad to see this mod still being developed. I have drifted back to RTW and BI despite playing MTW II for awhile (even with the updates).

    Things are going faster now, as the mod has 3 new members, but still no release date. When a stable and modfoldered version is ready, Hegemonia will be released as an open beta.
