    The Day of the Siege

Not really sure why I watched this. Basically as long as the swords stay sheathed it's not half bad. But dear lord is the CGI for battles terrible. And the battle scenes are far too dramatic in a fake way. The director clearly likes scenes of horses falling over because it seems like he used a hundred of the same shot repeated over and over.

But other than that it's not terrible, might watch again when drunk.

    Grand Budapest Hotel.

You can't review this - you have to watch it. Phenomenal movie, I laughed until my stomach hurt, the actors, the screenplay, everything. It was a cake, just like Mendl's in the movie.
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

Very enjoyable documentary about the CERN Collider.

    Begin Again

I like it and the music was nice but I was expecting more from reviews I have read. The story is not very involving, I guess I needed to listen to the lyrics closely to get more into it.

    Default Movies You've Seen Recently

    Hi guys,

Except gaming I love watching movies which are related to some mysteries.

I can`t hide it I liked Lucy" very much. Morgan Freeman did it so well, Scarlett Johansson also, although I`m not a huge fan of her.

So what movies you`ve seen recently? What type of movies do you like?

I am a snob. Don't like action movies very much, more of a self-congratulating arthouse type. The most awesome movie I saw recently is 'Dredd' though, rediculously violent fun.

My taste in movies changed a lot in the last years. Before I used to like war and horror movies with a lot battles, guns of any kind and blood. Recently I watch movies related to ancient artifacts, burried treasures, world secrets and things like that.... :)

Posted this in other thread but it's a good find for movie lovers.

Don't let the violent sex in the first scene put you off, this gem packs some of the best dialogues and monologues ever. Quality is good for youtube.

Draft Day - was okay. When anything succeeds in Hollywood they can't just let it go at one. As well done and interesting in its own way as Moneyball. Unlike Moneyball it was not original nor based on a true story.

American Hustle - Ah hell yes, Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams playing floozies? Count me in. Always a plus when Bradley Cooper gets hosed, again. Fair enough con movie otherwise.

Not exactly a movie but I saw the German series Generation War (also known as Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter). Its more of a 3 movie series than anything, but I thought it was rather well done.

The Master, pretty damn scary. The sadly now lost to us Seymor Hofman is fantastic. I didn't read the back of the box, my brother gave it to me so I already knew it would be good. It slowly but steadily becomes really uncomfortable to watch. Great stuff.

Dredd was so ******* good. Did not try to be anything but violent action film that had amazing effects and kept true to the comic series. Too bad a sequel will never be made.

De Helaasheid van Dingen, awesome Flemish movie. Depressing but also kinda hilarious. I hope it will get an international release as arthouse-lovers are going to love it.

Just finally saw Boondock Saints. I cannot believe this gem was out there all this time and I never saw it. Awesome movie, disappointing sequel.

I feel the sequel tried way too hard to replicate the first one, and ultimately flopped trying to do so.

Agreed completely. It lost the magic because it started following a formula and did not feel organic like the first one.

    You should watch the Footnote.

Especially if you are a student ot a neo-nazi, you will love it. Together with the Grand Budapest Hotel and the movie with Johnny Depp as a bianconeri Indian, it was one of the funniest films I watched last year.
