Woo, Arsenal win 6-2 against Blackburn. Good game, but I'd much rather have won 3-2 and scored those other three goals in the matches we drew...

Whatever you do....don't look behind you.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

Festive joy all round, aye. Glad to see Pardew jumping onboard the sinking
ship, although they were truly robbed against Fulham. When will Graham Poll
and his trusty 'team' of assistants be discarded like they should be?

Some things to add cheer: for myself, staying on course for Champions League
despite a terrible loss to the enemy, thanks go no less to a lovely Christmas
present delivered by the most unlikely of minnows. Nice looping 90+ minutes
    strike
    to sink them.

Also an Arsenal site some of you might be interested in, assuming you haven't already
found or posted it. Has some good old clips and compilations along with the current.
[Just mind and delete the latter after having had your '24 hour educational preview'.]

They looked set to well before now, unfortunately. Not that I'd wanted to see
significant competition from the Hun. Celtic are just too hard to beat at home,
regardless of performance, and Hearts were the only team to beat them on the
road, back at the start of the season, before they imploded. Celtic just have a
knack for performing [at times very] badly but still getting the results - look at
the Man U result. [Shame there are no clips with the Scottish commentary.]
No-one has beaten them at home in the league yet. In the last match Dundee
United went 0 - 2 up, would have had their first victory at Celtic Park since 1992,
and Celtic still came back to draw, and could have even won but for an unlucky
shot against the post at the end.

Perhaps you could say it's mostly the Nakamura effect. There's a good video
from that last game of his highlights, and in Japanese, but just a video of the
    equalising goal he scored
    will do.

Bad day so far. Threw away an excellent opportunity to open up some daylight
back to the Rangers, going down to the other half of the New Firm, of all teams.
Still on course for second though after yet another small team hands out a
    favour at Ibrox.

And more importantly for all the right-minded individuals here, Arsenal are down
to the Blades. Nade looks dangerous.

    Well, nine injuries doesn't help.
Too early to start raising concerns about Europe? Do any of you think that PSV
might just have a bit too much for this Arsenal side? Whenever I've watched
them play in the Eredivisie they always seem to be in a class of their own, although
I know some won't want to gauge their quality based on performances in that
league, I still think they will cause severe problems.

I won't go near qualification for next season. [Unless Anelka breaks a leg.]

Woo, some very smart tactics and excellent counter-attacking from Arsenal see Liverpool dumped out of the FA cup. Things seem to be back on track again, and Henry appears to have had a resurgence following his little rest. Nice to see Rosicky score a couple as well.

Taking that being a Cockney thing to heart, eh Strike? Now is not a good time to be a West Ham fan, unfortunately (or amusingly, depending on your point of view).

West Ham for the fizzy pop league next year.

I have just watched the goals of that FA Cup clash between The Reds and The Gunners. Simply it has been a proof of the damage of Rafa Benitez's useless and tragic Spanish citizen approach on the team.

If Reina is a good keeper, then Jerzy Dudek can be compared to legendary Yashin. Both are not, however Dudek would stop at least one of those poor shots all going in through somewhere a mediocre keeper could reach.

No worries, lads. Need to close Anelka down so he can't fire from range, and
stop Bolton forcing their way through.

Then, and only then, get the ball to the marksman, and yes, just watch and
enjoy what I hope will become the Tomáš Rosický shooting masterclass.
Observe and appreciate, guys. I think he pulls them out of the bag for the big
games, and he'll do it again.

    Consistently brilliant from distance.

Example 1: Tomáš beauty vs the USA at the World Cup.
As the commentator says, something to look forward to for Arsenal.
    [His second goal here.]

Example 2: HSV - Champions League. Say no more.

Example 3: And of course - How to lob first time.
    [Second goal here.]

    4 - 1 to Arsenal at half-time. Easy.

3 out of 3, and 10 goals [so far] against Liverpool.

Now 5 - 1, Baptista hat trick, even though Dudek saved a penalty.
Young team too. Good thrashing of a team not willing to try.

Bloody hell, Arsenal gave the red bindippers a lesson in footy, 3-6 to the Gunners.

Now you'll have the joy of the Trotters bringing you back down to earth.
