Thread: King of France

  1. #1

    Default King of France

Sorry about all the excess threads, can Sasaki delete the previous 3 polls?

This time, no voting for yourself.

Opps, this is actually for the King of France.

    No voting for yourself? That's...undemocratic!

Sorry for the double-post, but I seem to have misplaced my edit button. If you're running the game, Ignoramus, should you really be able to vote for a royal candidate?

    Here we go, triple post:

It has come to my attention that I will need supreme military commanders as I manage the state's affairs more closely. Therefore, the next two people who vote for me will receive a large parcel of land, complete with title, and the most presitigious positions as Captain of the King's Horse and Admiral of the Seas, respectively.

Boy, I wish I still had my edit button...

In that case, I am prepared to offer those who were sharp enough to vote for me the respective land and titles as follows, once they swear homage:

Sigurd Fafnesbane shall be granted the Duchy of Normandy.
Csar shall receive the lands of Brittany, and he shall become their Duke.
As promised, and we are a crown who keep their promises, Peasant Phill shall no longer be a peasant, but head of the Royal Treasury. As well, he shall receive the land Thouars and its Viscounty.
Glaucus shall receive the two counties of Flanders and Artois and shall thenceforth be known as the Marquis of the Netherlands and Artois. As well, he shall be made Captain of the King's Horse, and shall be the chief authority, under ourself, of conflict in the mainland European theatre.
Husar shall become the Admiral of the High Seas, chief commander of the French navy. As well, his shall be the lands Poitiers and Lamarche, and he shall be their Count.
Strike, as he shall be familiarily referred, shall receive the Duchy of Bourbon.

As well, I am prepared to offer the following titles to those who did not have the sense to vote for me earlier, but were surely misled:

Evil_Maniac from Mars shall be offered the County of Valentinois, and Justiciar shall receive the county of Foix.

All of these titles, grants or any other sort of royal privilege shall be awarded solely to those who swear homage to the French crown.

Further grants and titles shall be awarded at my discretion, and, of course, as reward for outstanding service.

There is a barony available in the duchy of Normandy.

    Job description:
Land with serfs for Administration and a prominent place in the Norman army. You will be raising your own Knights and give them land from your land. The knights and serfs will pay you taxes of which you will pay the duchy of Normandy its 50% share. The amount and what should be taxed is left to your discretion.
Prima Noche is granted but 'should' only be used if your wife remains barren.

The duchy of Normandy needs good soldiers raised in the tradition of our forefathers.
Post your application in this thread with the header: Norman Baron and give a few reason why I should choose you as my baron.

I have found a few old galleys in some port which still need a crew.
