The official thread will be used to add more information about the faction.

For now you can post anything you find useful including ideas for faction specific buildings, events, advisors etc MILITARY UNITS EXCLUDED - that is well researched and only later we will possibly need more details.

Do you post in the OiM TW forum. I am there too and this roster reminds me that from Kartli/Imeritia out there.

As a person who collects antique swords, here is the answer: these are images from an exposition in St. petersburg's Ethnographic Museum, dedicated to the arms and armor of Caucasian and Central Asian peoples. The first photo is a mannequin of a Khevsur warrior with a typical buckler, palash and kindjal. Also note the rifle to his right. The second photo shows some nice palashes, the Khevsur swords which resemble shamshirs (as far as the hilt is concerned), a curved kindjal and Khevsur fighting rings. I do not see the game implications of the latter, but the rest of the images give a good idea about the general look of a Khevsur warrior. What is missing are the maille hauberks and helmets, covering the entire face of Khevsur warriors. I am not sure if this is true, but I have read that Khevsurs actually relied on maille to protect them from small caliber firearms and wore it until the 20th century.

Hmmm the list will have to be reduced.

14 units are most likely just too many.

    I suggest to keep

    4 units of infantry - 1 militia, 1 gunners, 1 spearmen, 1 elite

    and 4 of cavalry.

Also I will need more information - are you Kartveli from OiM forum ?

Here is my earlier unit list for the period

    Shubosani Jari

    Samepo Razmi

    Mtiulebi

    Didebulebi

    Tavdi Mxedrebi

    Megreli Mkhedrebi

Maybe you can make it more realistic - remember the timeperiod is 1570-1700, but I am also interested in earlier armies from 1480 so more information wouldn't hurt.
