Ok, you said the magic words, turn based combat. I've moved back into the interested category. What's ETA?

Dunno. But if you like turnbased rpg's this a must have.
It has been out for a while.

Yep, just checked Steam, it is indeed out, put it on my wishlist, 15 bucks isn't bad, but I've got nothing but time, I'll wait till it's on sale just the same
It'll have to be nearly free to get me to put up with the 3rd party DRM Uplay, I wish nothing more than to see Ubishaft disappear as a company for the endless DRM bullshit they pull, why do they insist on a DRM on top of a DRM? Answer: because they are jackals who treat their customers like criminals.
Bayonetta 2, it's awesome. Hilariously violent and shamelessly sexist, and gameplay to die for. Best game in it's genre. It's a shame it's a WiiU exclusive as it would sell much better on other consoles.

The Swapper, awesome puzzle game, with the same sense of isolation of the Metroid games. It's build around one mechanic, you can make clones of yourself and move into them, but it's build around that sole mechanic really well. It also has incredible graphics and music. If you like the atmosphere of games like Homeworld or the movie Moon, get it it's not expensive.
It's currently the second highest rated WiiU game on Metacritic. And based on my short time playing, probably deserves it.
Also on the 3DS front, I've been pretty well addicted to Shin Megami Tensei 4. If you've already played and enjoyed SMT games, you probably own this already. Or if you want an RPG with a darker setting, then give it a look. The "Turn Press" combat system (where you gain extra actions by exploiting enemy weaknesses) really keeps things engaging.

Get the first as well, it's better. Much more bloody action. The only bad thing about Bayonette 2 is the lack of lesser enemies, all the fights are awesome but I just love the extremily bloody fights against 5 or 6 foolish lesser angels. Blood and feathers everywhere heh
I bought COH bundle over the weekend, never played it while it was out, I'm just not an RTS guy (which is the same reason I ignored TW for so long). Anyway, I'm still not convinced that strategy is even possible in real time, and I'm pretty certain some of the later parts of the campaign will not be something I'll be able to clear, but I got to say, setting up skirmishes and playing against the AI is fantastic fun. It's tense and edgy the whole time and makes for a very fluid front line. Good stuff.
I doubt COH2 will prove to be as impressive, at least judging from the reviews that just destroyed it (and I got to say, I'm predisposed to hate COH2 because of the 18 pages of bullshit DLC they released for it), but hey, it came with the bundle so we'll see.
So, blast from the past, I'm playing COH and enjoying it immensely, deserves the high ratings it got on release.
The WiiU version of Bayonetta is included with Bayonetta 2.. so I have it already. I also played it when some when it originally came out for the PS3- for some reason it didn't grab me though. I'll certainly be giving the WiiU version a chance once I finish part 2. They say it has a better frame rate than the original versions on the PS3/360.

Flawless 60fps and much better loading times, AND you can dress her up like princess Peach
I played the beta of CoH 2 and didn't like it at all. It went far more (too far) towards stone, paper, scissors for my taste. Tanks did hardly any damage to anything, I had a Panther shoot at an IS and vice versa for literally minutes, doing hardly any damage per shot. I'm not sure whether that was a beta problem but it felt pretty "meh" overall.
If you like variety, you might like the eastern front mod or the Blitzkrieg mod for CoH, you can find them here:
http://www.easternfront.org
http://www.moddb.com/mods/blitzkrieg
Didn't play them in a while, eastern front seems more ambitious and tries to change the setting a lot (also stopped working for me after a while sadly) while Blitzkrieg seemed more polished and adds units and variety to the existing factions. Had a lot of fun with the latter but the former was also interesting to try.

Injustice, basicly Mortal Combat set in the DC-universe. It's a really good fighting game with an impressive roster of characters that really all got their own style. That is incredibly impressive because big two, Street Fighter and Mortal Combat just have to refine what's already there. The story-mode is good as well,a fighting with a story huh.
Batman seems to be the easiiest to pick up for sure.
edit, this is really good. I am not really into fighting-games but I love the DC universe. It's really fun to play but the story makes it sing. There is really tons of content here. Nobody seems to play onlline sadly.

Finally got Super Smash Bros Wii. A really generous package that is absolutily worth the 60 euro's. The depth of the gameplay isn't obvious at first but you learn as you go. The presentation is spectacular, stunning visuals and audio. Haven't tried online yet but I already know that I will need a lot of practise beford even thinking about trying it.
Back to Skyrim for a little while. Gonna try to just be a hunter, see if I can live life as a normal person in the world without doing the main questline.
Might have to do the Dawnguard quest though, those vampire attacks are annoying.

Are you on PC or Console? If PC, there's mods for both. "Alternate Start" and another one that disables Vampire attacks before Dawnguard is officially started (i.e. you're L10 and that Orc appears in town to recruit you).
I'm currently trying "The Long Dark". Aesthetically pleasing and interesting concept, but bloody hard.
Im on PC, and yes I found those mods, thanks anyways. Actually having trouble with Serana, she keeps wandering off...

Companions ... *sigh*
man when this place gets dead, it gets dead
I'm not playing anything really, my gaming computer is pretty much dead, it will boot then restart or bluescreen at some point and then it will be hard to boot again at all unless I let it sit off and idle for a night. I assume the mainboard is broken and I'm not in a mood to replace anything because I plan a semester abroad and the thing is relatively old anyway.
My Ultrabook can actually run some games with its Intel HD 4000 but the quality of the graphics will lower the appeal unless we're talking older 2D games. I played some American Conquest and AoE 2 HD on it and those games are still fun. It even runs Train Fever relatively well without AntiAliasing but I'm not sure I should burden it that much, it's also >2 years old and I hope it will last until I come back from abroad at least. DoorKickers also works on it since it's also 2D basically, with a few 3D effects thrown in maybe.
That's all I have to say, seems like I'm on a retro streak until sometime next year. :P

Husar, have you checked out Frozen Synapse? You could probably play it on your ultrabook. Its actually a fun and challenging game, if a bit old now.

Age of Wonders 3. Just picked it up on sale yesterday, haven't made it far yet, only couple hours, I already know I like it.
At Hussie, try Lone Survivor, awesomee pixel-art and genuinly scary
Just discovered some cheats for Max Payne 2 and I'm currently having quite a blast. As Mona, I landed unscathed in the construction site, to help Max in a more close way, while Max jumps thirty meters (or feet?) above the Manor, cleaning out every room in the reverse order.
Also, I finally managed to save the suited cowering guy from getting shot by three socialist cleaners.
Honestly, I'm really surprised that the game hasn't crushed yet, especially when I set Mona, myself, 3 officers and Bravura ablaze with a couple of molotov cocktails, in one of the dream chapters.
Another try of ZombiU on survival-mode. Kinda odd that the most hardcore horror game ever is on a nintendo. It's hard. If you die you are really dead, game over, and death comes really fast as all zombies can instakill you. Tense as hell, and really scary, you dread every step you make. Made it pretty far this time.
Another really generous DLC for Mario-Kart 8, as if it wasn't enough in tbe first place. The new tracks are awesome, have yet to try the 200cc mode but casually drifting in the 50cc mode is awesome enough for a big X on the head.
Endless Legend
From the makers of Endless Space, but better. Set in a fantasy/sci-fi world, its kinda like the Civ games I think. Combat is somewhat tactical, Im enjoying it. Its pretty complex though, so expect a few headaches early on while you get grips with the game mechanics. Its a beautiful game though, and fantastic soundtrack. Highly recommend.

I picked the bundle up when it was 50% off, so I've got all three I've yet to start (gotten so distracted by the brilliance of AOW3 I'm just going to play this one out for a bit yet). I look forward to diving into all three, going to take them sort of as a trilogy experience and play them "in order", Dungeon 1st, then Endless Legend and finally Endless Space.
