That is one of the most bizarre bugs I have ever seen. It doesn't even make sense. Why would they have a model of a ship like that?

Maybe a map generation bug? Maybe the OP had a navy off the coast when he was attacked by the AI, but the map for some reason generated a terrain tile instead of the water like it should have?Originally Posted by Caledonian Rhyfelwyr

But can you normally see ships if they are just off the coast of a battlefield?

I seen this happen in RTW. Never in M2TW tho.

The boat is in fact backwards... those triangle sails should be in the front where
theyd be used for steering and the like...Columbus wouldve had a very tough time of it with that setup.

BTW, I got wiped out in this battle. Lucky I had a ship nearby to flee onto....

Looking the minimap then you can see the ship there ..
If there would have been navy nearby and the ship would have appeared because of that then you could'nt see it on the map ...
But then again .. I'm not 100% sure about that ...
Anyway .. this is one of the weirdest thing I have ever seen in m2tw

I guess we need a new patch

Now that I've got Kingdoms, I recognise the model from one of the Americas into video. I even got the same bug with that ship on the map. Even stranger was the fact that in the same battle, my Spaniards were fighting the Mayans under what looked something like a Viking Longship.
