British man sells fresh air to China:
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk...-a6857461.html

Leo De Watts, 27, sells air collected in the British countryside and ships it over to polluted cities Shanghai and Beijing, where the wealthy elite pay a hefty sum for a few seconds of inhalation.

The Aethaer products include air from Somerset, Wales and Dorset, with each area said to create air with different qualities.

Rowdy Fowler Arrested in Police Raid of Cockfighting Ring

Rowdy Fowler, 39, was taken into custody on suspicion of animal cruelty. Fowler owns the property at 1673 FM 2104 in Paige, Texas, about 45 miles east of Austin, according to the Bastrop County Sheriff's Office.

After receiving a noise complaint from a neighbor, deputies raided the property where dozens of people had gathered for the alleged cockfighting event, according to a news release.

Authorities seized 130 roosters, four of which "died as a result of their injuries," the release said.

Why didn't we think of this before, eureka moment. Let's combat radicalisation of youth by paying a trip from 20 European cities to theNetherlands and eat a herring with them.

Who cooks things like that up. Probably the same people who thought a free holiday to Marocco to catch butterflies would be a lfe-changing experience for hardened young criminals.

None of this is a joke.

The woman with 600 million IP addresses mapped to her home

As a result, for the last 14 years, every time MaxMind’s database has been queried about the location of an IP address in the United States it can’t identify, it has spit out the default location of a spot two hours away from the geographic center of the country. [...] Which happens to be in the front yard of Joyce Taylor’s house.
“The first call I got was from Connecticut,” Taylor told me by phone this week. “It was a man who was furious because his business internet was overwhelmed with emails. His customers couldn’t use their email. He said it was the fault of the address at the farm. That’s when I became aware that something was going on.”

    [...]

But over the next several months, the calls and visits intensified. When law enforcement agents asked companies like Google and Facebook for the IP addresses used by suspected criminals and then mapped them using tools like this that relied on the MaxMind database, it pointed at the Taylor house. Amateur sleuths who spotted IP addresses used by visitors to their websites or on message forums were so convinced that the Taylor house was the source of their various problems that they created reports about it on Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, the Ripoff Report and Google Plus. (Even today, if you Google the house’s address, it returns a series of websites detailing nefarious activities.)

The harassment continued to the point where the local sheriff had to intervene. He placed a sign at the end of the driveway warning people to stay away from the house and to call him with questions.
    Runes for good luck:

Microsoft accused of Windows 10 upgrade 'nasty trick'

    By Zoe Kleinman
    Technology reporter, BBC News

Microsoft has faced criticism for changing the pop-up box encouraging Windows users to upgrade to Windows 10.

Clicking the cross in the top-right hand corner of the pop-up box now agrees to a scheduled upgrade rather than rejecting it.

This has caused confusion as clicking the cross typically closes a pop-up notification.

The upgrade could still be cancelled when the scheduled time for it to begin appeared, Microsoft said.

The change occurred because the update is now labelled "recommended" and many people have their PCs configured to accept recommended updates for security reasons.

This means dismissing the box does not dismiss the update.

Brad Chacos, senior editor at the PC World website, described it as a "nasty trick".

"Deploying these dirty tricks only frustrates long-time Windows users who have very valid reasons to stick with operating systems they already know and love," he wrote.

Microsoft said: "With the free Windows 10 upgrade offer ending on 29 July, we want to help people upgrade to the best version of Windows.

"As we shared in October, Windows 10 will be offered as a 'recommended' update for Windows 7 and 8.1 customers whose Windows Update settings are configured to accept 'recommended' updates.

"Customers can choose to accept or decline the Windows 10 upgrade."
    Wooooo!!!

I always knew, someone, someday, would militarize our music.

Next, they'll start dropping copies of Shah Rukh Khan's latest hit movies. ISIS cadres will surrender in waves.

I'm sure this violates the Geneva convention.

But then again, does it apply to ISIS combatants at all?

    Jolly good, carry on!

They should have played some One Direction that would have really effed em up. :)

Pokemon Go is a free application that allows its users to catch Pokemon, fight other trainers and earn badges by traveling in the real word.
So, far Pokemon are not the only thing discovered by the players, while it turned out that Sandshrew isn't found in the caves.

Nigel Farage hired by Fox News as a political analyst

Nigel Farage has been hired as a commentator for American TV network Fox News, the broadcaster has announced.
The former UKIP leader will provide political analysis for the main channel, and the Fox Business Network's daytime and primetime programmes.
Mr Farage has been one of the UK's most prominent supporters of US President Donald Trump and appeared alongside him during his election campaign.
He was the first UK politician to meet Mr Trump after his win in November.
It comes shortly after he was given his own nightly show on UK radio station LBC.
Mr Farage travelled to Washington for Mr Trump's inauguration on Friday.
After the ceremony he tweeted his approval saying: "A very strong speech by @POTUS. He means it."
He also appeared on Fox Business to comment on the inauguration. He said: "Listening to the speech today, this is a political revolution and it's very exciting."
