    Do you Manscaep?
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

I hope there is a manicure for this manscape "thing". I agree with the other's sentiments on this - it is sooo wrong.

I happened to be in Bed, Bath and Beyond this evening (with the Missus) and they had a back shaving kit - a razor with about an 8 inch handle. The wife's reaction? "Eeeeww!" My reaction? How are you supposed to apply a bandage to the cuts in the middle of your back? Why would any sane man want to go through the same hassles that women go through to look nice?

So that is the term; manscaping. I had been told many a month past by a friend there exist males who have it performed on them and here we have a certain term for such people -- some slang word which eludes me at the moment. They also seem to take special care of their top head hair and clothing.

From the article provided by Lemur:
"Now, if you aren’t familiar with manscaping, it includes waxing, plucking, shaving, manicuring, and so on. According to recent studies, male grooming is a trend that’s sweeping the globe."

Females becoming more feministic and independent through time, and now males becoming even more and more female. Fashion has shown significant changes as well throughout time: females wearing more male-like clothing, males wearing... ugh, etcetera, etcetera.

It appears an unnatural development. Or perhaps it is simply the natural tendency of female humandom for power (feministically influenced) and this is displayed by their becoming more aggressive, independent, "strong" and the likes.

And regarding males, perhaps it's... hmm, difficult to guess. "Inner soft side??" Or maybe some (il)logical response to the change of females' natures described above? But one thing is certain: commerce definitely has influence and the men who are affected thereby are more foolish than I thought them

    "A Beauty or a Beast?"
--> stupidity: it is the internal mentality that truly changes one but man will maintain its beast-like nature even if he physically appears... "beautiful". I say this "male grooming" is to be nullified as it is unnecessary.

Another thing to be aware of is the fact women like men who are healthy and look healthy and well taken care of.

    [/critical]

I voted Texas by the way. I probably would have never done that but this case strangely forces it.

To each his own. Personally, I have my hair cut at a barber once every six weeks or so, wash my hair almost everyday (maybe not on a day off if I'm staying in), put a small amount of goop in it to keep it manageable, shave every other day on average, brush my teeth at least once a day, keep my fingernails and toenails trimmed, and pluck prominent gray hairs out of my moustache. I use antiperspirant, not perfumes, and I wear glasses (ok, Armani) and a watch (ok, Omega). I do blue jeans mostly, black boots mostly, and plain, logo-less t-shirts.

That's what this man is about. I don't feel the need to do all that other stuff. But whatever floats your boat, I say. There was a time when vanity occupied me more than it does today.

I had to go with Texas because all the others don't qualify.
It's a valid question I asked myself before so Gah can not be applied.
I don't love my hairy *** and shave my face every day, so the second option cannot be applied.
But then I don't shave my hairy *** and kiwis and armpits and my rather less hairy chest so the first option cannot be applied either.

Now since I don't really have an opinion, I'd do it for a girl, I'd even ask what she prefers, but as long there is no girl, there is no incentive and thus the hair stays. Though I do think that hairy legs do have more erm, appeal, to them, a man with shaved legs doesn't always look better IMO, it often looks more like fat while the hair distracts from that. I could post that pic the guys from uni made showing my hairy legs from behind.

The only places of my skin I shave are chosen because they would facilitate and serve practicality: my face; my armpits (only if necessary due to (anticipated) smell); my **** and balls and their general areas. If you've performed this last action once, it necessitates shaving everytime (or perhaps you'd like the feel of hairs growing afresh?).

Re: armpits--hair is a natural insulator. By removing hair here, it could actually exacerbate malodorously odiferious unpleasantries. Trimming occasionally maybe, but shaving ... not for this dude.

Actually, especially the balls must be done; τhe areas above it are not so critical: the balls are more "prone to pain" and the freshly growing hairs will certainly apply at least some irritation or pain as you awake for some time.

Re: armpits--hair is a natural insulator. By removing hair here, it could actually exacerbate malodorously odiferious unpleasantries. Trimming occasionally maybe, but shaving ... not for this dude.
That is probably true. The removal of this hair will -- if you sweat -- leave much sweat against the skin. One could actually sense it dramatically as the dirty liquid moves alongside the skin. The dirty odour: ugh...

It is worse in the summer time, when for example you find yourself in a public tranportation vehicle and people -- mainly men -- emit this foul disgusting stench as they wear clothing that actually exposes their armpits. A terrible smell, even worse if you stand or sit near the person. What if you stand and this person stands near you with his arm up holding some metal bar to facilitate his balance/stance? URGH!!!

In truth, my feelings on the matter are quite similar to Husar's: If a woman wanted to me to "thin out the thickets" (so to speak), I would probably do so. Unless/until that happens, though, no blade shall come near my nether regions.
