Sli mode

hi guys can u tell me is mtw/vi supporting sli mode

as i am running 2 x geforce 7900GS's

when i load game now sice i got this system mtw/vi crashes to desktop after start up,
so cud this be the problem??
shud i switch sli mode of when playing this game ??

And that is easy to test buy turning off SLI, using your NVIDIA Control pannel

Sorry, but no.

It will work to a certain extent. But in multiplayer, you wont be able to control your troops.

It is a very sad thing.

Has anyone tested the 8800GT card? It is afterall rather new and there could be a difference compared to the older GTS/GTX

CBR may have something there.

I have dual NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX cards.

I took one out (leaving the other in for future testing), and replaced it with a eGeForce 7600GT KO so I can play VI.

Every once in a while another driver update (currently version 163.75 - downloaded but not tested yet) will come out, and I will pull the 7600 and test the 8800.

I have submitted an exact description of the problem to NVIDIA, but because it is an older game, it may not get much (if any) attention

buy a second (cheap) graphics card and come in mtw vi! We play every friday and sometimes saturday online. I think there are graphic cards for 40 euro. Maybe PCI is enough.

Yes you can. But it depends on the slot type! E.g. you can use a agp and a pci slot card. But you cannot use 2 agp or epci cards, if you have only one agp/epci slot ;) But it should be possible to use 2 cards, if they have different slot types.

But I have never tried.

ps: Judgee, yesterday so many others were back. Poti, Leo, Mas, Max, Hunters (Hik, Bas, George, Ichi), Silent Clan, Bears_Dej , HMS, Heerbann (Boz, Luc, I) and many more!!! Impossible to count all. Most join later (21:00 gmt), but then we have good games.

How many pci express slots do you have? If more than one, you could use a second pci express card. Otherwise you need a pci (without express) card.

You don't need to deinstall the 8800gt driver.

i HAVE 3 OR4 pci express slots as i was running sli mode on this motherboard, but now have just one 8800gt pci ex,

so you are saying i can put my other card in 5200, and install drivers, then just plug the power cable into it....then i can play vi ?

I think you have to switch in windows the video card, but then it should work yes. I think so. But all theoretical only. ;)

no i havnt, i just assumed with it being a 8 series that it wudnt work from what i have read, maybe i shud try it lol
