Deployment zones on the battlefield are selectable, biased on the numeric hierarchy of the color you chose to represent your army.
Please note: Choosing to remain with the original colors of a particular faction is highly recommended, because your Taisho’s flag will always be “that” color, even if you do choose another color for your troops. It is just a way to avoid confusion
Either way, the order of the colors chosen, will determine where you start in the battle.
Each side (Attackers, Defenders) is separate in this, although they share the same source (faction colors) for choices. This makes things a little more difficult to organize, but with a minimum of practice can be easily done.
The lower the number of the color (or faction of the same position), the higher the position on the deployment scale. This is true for all sizes of battles (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4).
The lowest number = Center
The next higher = Left Flank (Reserve*)
The next higher = Right Flank
The highest number = Advanced Left Flank (Left Flank*)
Edit: Corrected left and rights
*Note: In 4v4s the deployment zones of Left Flank and Advanced Left Flank are often labeled as Reserve and Left Flank respectively, although they are still in the same places, ordered by the same numeric formula.
What is your favorite position to play, and why?
Edit: I might be a good idea to print out the color chart above (and/or faction chart below), as once a color is chosen, it goes grey on the faction icon
P.S. Who plays what position is something that needs to be addressed as soon as all team members are present. This can be important, as it may have an influence on what army you bring to a specific battlefield situation .
