    Default Project Status

Well this thread is meant to keep you up to date on the project status. I'll add some status reports about each of the mod's parts here, along with a changelog and last change date which will follow later.
Most of these will say something like "alpha", "beta", "late beta", etc.
In general, pre-alpha means that things are planned but not yet implemented, alpha means that some part of it has been implemented, late alpha means that the system has been mostly implemented, early beta signifies that it's ready for testing, beta means some tests have been concluded but it still needs some tweaking and late beta is mainly for bug-fixing.

Hey Alpaca, I've been monitoring this mod for about six months now and was wondering if you were still doing work on it. I realize you have other things to occupy your time, but I really wanted to play this mod. I havn't visited TW Center yet. I don't know how to mod but do know how to research issues if you need some help.

    Hey there,

yes I'm still working on it (well in my fashion) and I could indeed use a bit of help in researching which trade resources should be put into which province (and a rough relative estimate of trade values) for Italia Invicta. If you're interested in doing this I can give you our map files, or you can search for the thread about getting a copy from sourceforge and look at the map in the game (I usually find that more appealing).

Ok i'll see what i can do, what is sourceforge? Do you want historic resouces or map balance? Sorry about the questions, I'm kind of new to this. Up until six months ago I didn't even know that you could mode these games.

Great. Sourceforge is the place where the current dev version of II is hosted, see this thread: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=92672

For now I'd say keep it as historical as possible (and this includes including resources that don't occur in the normal game because there's a few we could overwrite). If possible also include relayed resources, e.g. silk in venice but mark them somehow; we were planning to use this to make trade hubs more important. By the way: I don't expect miracles, just a more educated guess than what I would be able to deliver; if you can't find specific info for a city or province just give some generic info about what happened in the region. We'll have to live with a compromise over multiple centuries anyways so it doesn't matter so much.

And don't feel bad for asking questions, it's always better to ask if you don't understand something
