The desert wastes of Khur have long been the home of a mysterious nomadic people who value independence above all else. Little more than a collection of tribes until recently, the Nerakan expansion has forced neighboring tribes to band together under the Caliph.

Khur is most similar to the Turks of the vanilla game, in look and unit types. However, a few important differences exist. Only recently has Khur consolidated into anything resembling a nation, and mostly at the behest of the Knights of Solamnia. Through the Knighthood, the Khurish people learned tactics, and how to employ their exceptional horse archers effectively. The result is a mix of western and eastern unit types that make for mixed tactical options.
