    Default How to use the RTW battle editor

    The battle Editor is for creating or editing existing Historical battles.

    First click options, then battle Editor.

    Now choose a location, it does not except the sea.
    I'm using Alexander TW, RTW works but BI does not.

    now click on the Julli general banner this comes up with options to create an army, I made Alexander the Great for Macedon.

    Create a deployment zone by clicking on the Bardic circle
    ~~~~NOTE~~~~
    Click on the Captain (name) on the side vertical bar to create the deployment zone
    Now and units, remember to click on the Vertical side bar like with the bardic circle, this time click
    the Julli unit banner.
    You must have a generals unit like bodyguards otherwise the game has errors.
    Do the above for both armies
    Now click the Scales
    Choose a home faction and press the top plus, twice for a 1v1 match
    now choose the victory conditions and options.
    Now click the cogs and fill in a description.
    When your satisfied click the tick and then Esc button.
    Click save and it should say save succeeded.
    Now your done.
    Hope this helps
    Shouldn't this thread be moved to Scriptorium? It is a tutorial.
    Okay so I've been using the battle editor for a while but now suddenly something went wrong. I tried to create a bit of a mock version of the battle of Thermoplyae (god i probaly spelled that wrong) more based on the ridiculousness of 300. Anyways when i try to play it i get a KTM and my error message is...
    "Script Error in data/world/maps/battle/custom/300/descr_battle.txt, at line 101, column 19
    Expeced 'home' faction to be ser after the battle duration.
    No idea what this means and i can't fix it what should i do?
    Seems like you did something wrong .. Go to that map , and delete your 300 custom file , then retry :)
    'Home' faction is the faction you play with (i think) , and maybe you made them go away after some time or something ..
    You have to set a home faction in the screen with Faction setup, or them game ctd's or something like that. Thats the only thing I know that works
