I dont think you can. But maybe if you remove one of their provinces?![]()
in 1.3 they didn't expand at all, now in 1.5 they do... which in my opinion is a good thing
but if you really want to change it go to descr_sm_faction.txt and put "naval_invasions no" (or something along those lines) and it should at least slow it down

The things I do to slow roman expansion are increasing roman unit costs and make stronger roman ennemies (gauls, macedon, carthage)
Especially for macedon, either you facilitate alliance with greek cities, either you make weaker greek cities so that macedon evade Thermon and Sparte.

I've tryed that.....i've increased the starting amount of money from 5.000 to 50.000 (Greece and Macedon) and brutii decreased to only 100 denari.....but this doesn't seem to work...thanks anyway

Short of removing them completely there is no real way to stop the romans expanding if they have the 3 family and senate system.

You can remove them from the campaign and custom battles, they will still exist in many files, just you won't be able to play as them.

The Extended Greek mod has a provincial campain in which you can play as a united rome, but the senate is still there. There are also new units, all factions except rebels and senate are playable and you can choose to play on a bigger map. thanks for you help but this is not what im looking 4,i dont want a mod...because are too many changes made...i just want that those brutii and scipii to stay where they are until the end....like senate is
Like i said there is no way to do this, the ai will expand for all factions except the senate.
