Hello, I'm playing a Saka campaign (which I'm very much enjoying, thanks EB team this is IMHO the best mod out there) and I've just conquered Alexandria Ariana and want to install a client allied state so I can recruit units from the Seleukid Mic's left over to defend the province but after building indigenous settlements like the nomad government flow chart illustrates kind of Client state building shows up in the construction menu. The weird thing is if I just leave the pre-existing Seleukid government there (I don't even have to repair it) than I can build the foreign muster field but I cant recruit units using the Ephebic armory that was there. Destroying the Seleukid government will cause Karse and indigenous settlements to become an option but after building the indigenous settlements I still cant build the client allied state. So my question is how can I build the client state? and also it seems that the nomad flow chart is out of date since it says only indigenous settlements are needed to build an allied state.
sorry for the long post and thank you in advance to anyone who can help me out.
You cant use another factions MIC, Unless its paired. AKA Baktria/Makedon, Seleukid/Ptolemaic.

If I recall correctly wherever there is a "nomad" hidden resource (I think that's the name anyway) you can't build client state. So just build Karse and nomadism.
That's if I remember right.
Which one's Alexandria Ariana? The one to the west or south of Baktra
Or were they both nomad. I forgot.
And yes you can't use another faction's MIC, at least not one not of your culture (that's what the discription says).

open up the description of the mic - scroll to bottom - it tells you who can use it. if you can't use it for your faction, destroying it, for extra moneys!
AFAIK, nomadic factions work quite differently from most governments so probably worth destroying most things that aren't nomadic or directly support your way of life...that's been my approach as sauromatae anyway....

ah, thank you, I didn't know you couldn't build a client state in a province with a nomad hidden resource, which Alexandria Ariana has. Thanks everyone for answering my question.
