You know what my biggest gripe with EB is?

No women!

A world without women is no fun......

I used to enjoy admiring my built-up cities on the battlemap, but now there's only men walking around them, and not a woman to be seen anywhere... :(

This makes me very, very sad! :( :( :(

Please, bring back the women!

I'm not sure if they are able to do that with the hardcoded engine.... but idk, I'm not a modder, I'm just an eb fanatic. I'm just filling in until someone noligable and genious to answer your question

Afaik the women have been reskinned and redone into a unit you can use on the battlefield.
So doubt you will ever see them again in EB.
I might be wrong, but that's what I recall. :)

Yes, the women were taking up a precious model slot. And were therefore forced indoors.

You will have to make do with the dancers, courtesans, hetaria (no idea what the plural would be) civilised slaves and evil mothers in law that you see as ancillaries.

Just out of curiosety.
Why are the men still around?
Would it not be better to remodel them into something useful to?

in the last version they had soldiers with shields wandering around. I think the current men are artillery men, who look like peasants anyway.

If you don't have any model, as I think was the case earlier than that (or was it RTR? It's been a while) then the game just crashes when you try to look at the town.

Nah, just kidding. I think it relates to the physical model used for the women which is literally unused anywhere else in the game. I believe the model used for the man is used in multiple units which is why you still see the men walking around.

If the women that used to walk around took a unit slot and have now been replaced with something real and useful, does that mean that any unit could be made to walk around the city instead?

If so, could this be a dynamic thing, so that you actually saw the units garrisoned in that settlement marching about?
