hey do the Hai not get ethnicity traits for suitors or something? All the suitors have no ethnicity's listed! Granted I am only like 5 years into a campaign. The ethnicities are one of my favorite features in the game!!!!!!!!!!!!

They get ethnicity traits all right, and the suitors should get them as well, at least they did in my Hayasdan campaign, if I remember correctly.

could somebody list some ethnicities that they have gotten? what I failed to mention is that I felt like creating a cilician-armenian kingdom 1400 years before in reality. So I cheated by moving my armies into Syria and Tarsus and took them and then I let Armenia rebel. I was really hoping to get Syrian and Pamphylian suitors but instead they had no ethnicities at all listed.:dizzy2:

I don´t know, there might not be any Hayasdan ethnicity traits in that area, all the ones I can remember right now are from Armenian tribes, Hellene and I think maybe a Pontos (half-greeks around the Black Sea).

Are the ethnicities of new generals and family members dependent on the area you have conquered? Would you get Iberian people if you got Iberia as Armenia?

that's how i understood it. hence when someone moved their arverni campaign to ireland, they killed off their gallic family members after 2 "irish" guys had been adopted into the family, hence creating an "irish" faction.

To my understanding - they are PARTLY dependent on the area you have conquered and the area you controll. I think that it also have something to do with the historicall expansion and historical relationships between people.

So as a Armenia you will not be able to get FM's or generals with the Iberian (assuming that you think Hispania, not the Iberia of the east)ethnicity trait - because Armenia never reached Hispania.

Example of dependancy on the are that you control would be that if you as a Baktria or Saka conquer the Indian regions you will have a chance to get ethnicity traits - like Indo-hellene or Indo-Saka
Or as the mate above me said - If you are playing for Arverni or Aeudi and you conquer Britain or Ireland - you will get traits such as Fene (ireland), Brigante etc.

BTW:that guy who made that thing with migration campaign from Gaul to Ireland was me - And it was pretty sweet campaing I have managed to defeat the Casse, left them with only one city and made them my protectorate, then I conquere those two Belgic provinces (which were in hands of Sweboz, and then my old abandoned homeland Gregovia rebbeled from Roman opressors on my side.

You can check all those ethnicity traits in (export-descr_character_traits)

Here are those for Hayasdan

awesome! bactron, it sounds like a very cool campaign, and definitely ranks in my mind up there with the koinon hellenon migrations to massilia and the crimea. are you still playing it? have you established your own idea of victory conditions?

Well I have postponed that campaign, But I still have the save and I will return to play it after some time. (that is quite a bad habit of mine to abandone or postpone my campaigns - once I postponed a Bactrian campaing somewhere around the year 185 BC and I never returned to play it)

Now I am playing campaing for Koinon Hellenon and it is lots of fun (never played them before) I decided to instal one sub/mini-mod from here made by ferromancer - its EB with BI.exe and it is really good stuff - with it the AI on campaing map is lot better there are naval invasions on islands made by AI controlled factions and also the option of shield wall is really neat for my hoplites.
