2nd picture works now
-------------------------------------
see the picture below
http://home-4.tiscali.nl/~t543201/web-wolves/wolves-otherimages/unitcompare.gif
what does ANTI_MISSILEs mean? does it mean units are not more vulnerable to missiles than normal units would?
what does immotion do?
and ambush? does it means that in this case cav units are same "hidable" than infantry in woods?
the picture below shows that there are more units with -close to exactly- the same stats

Wow, thats great. I have been trying to do comparisons using paper and it sucks. Can't wait for that to be finished.
I may spend more time comparing units than playing!
Yes, very nice tool Magyar. Most of the basic units available to the factions are the same. The factions are more similar to one another than dissimilar, although, a few special units do stand out. There are a few units with duplicate stats, especially some of the cav, but there is much less duplication than I initially thought.

I believe the ANTI_MISSILE and such like are hints to the strat map ai. EatSteel would know more about this. Certainly nothing to do with battles.
InMotion is a value related to turning. It was put in at the dawn of the project (before I started working on it). I've never messed with it, and not sure what effect it has. I think has something to do with how much turning slows a man down, but I could be wrong.
BTW, nice looking tool. Wouldn't mind getting hold of a copy myself.

Are you sure the support costs are right? 14 seems unusually low for a full strength Egyptian cavalry force of 40 men.
Yes, please, post the tool. In particular, make sure the entries can be corrected if necessary, and thanks.

Why would anyone want a tool as useful
as this?It means I can only waste seconds
instead of hours. When can I have it?

Ask not what the tool can do for you,
Ask what you can do for the tool!
(with apologies to JFK)
Maggy, Once again you amaze me. I prostrate myself in awe.

Support costs are times the number of men in the unit, then divided by eight.

It's 'The Prince' now http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif But that only applies to the strategic game. Sun Tzu still rules the battle mode. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
Can you make this tool available for download, Magyar, please?

ANTI_MISSILE and such are classes that this unit belongs to. This is use by the stratgy map AI to muve unit around where they are most useful. If the enemy has lots a archers? More ANTI_MISSILE types to defend, if the region heavily forested, AMBUSH troops are best.
