View Full Version : Game keeps crashing as I defeat the Carthaginians

My game keeps crashing whenever I conquer the last Carthaginian (qar hadast whatever) settlement, Gader. It is the the year 253 bc in my game, and I've activated the script every time I open the game. I've tried both of the temporary fixes and I've applied all the permanent ones, too. The only mod I've applied is the darth mod formations thing and the player formations, but I don't see how that helps, so...

Try adding " -nm" to the end of the target line in the EB desktop shortcut and trying again...

Is it trait related? Have you tried without activating the script? Have you tried to win the battle with "auto_win attacker"?

If the problem persists, repost the link. It is unclear which file-hosting service you use.

I've tried auto-resolving the battle, auto-resolving it through 'auto_win attacker' (I do that when I'm too lazy to fight a city battle, heh) to fighting the actual battle itself.

I can't fnd any info on what might be causing the crash. It's overall very weird. It could just be that your rtw.exe is corrupt or something.

Probably not Hax, as the -nm didn't help but did in the other instance...

I think I'm doing something wrong because the validation tool says a bunch of files are missing, the eb files are missing when I run it from root rtw file; and the rome files are missing when I run it from eb directory

It is not your build that is incorrect, it is something in your game. i have played your save and it crashed, too. I suspect the last Karthadastim FM to be the reason for the crash ( on is on Krete hidden in a forest and two are in Asia minor. Only god kows what they are doing there and how they get there.. ).
Imho the CTD has something to to with these FM'S turning rebel the moment you capture the last of their provinces.

We are working on the problem and should abe to give you a workaround in some time. Atm you can only continoue playing, if you don't defeat the Karthis....
