I really like the novel idea the EB developers did to the rebel regions bordering germania and dacia (how the rebels are fierce and will fight to the last man. Even reforming themselves if destroyed). I was wondering if there was any way to do this for other regions of the map to recreate factions that didn't have enough slots (like numidia, byzantium, pergamom, etc.). I'm sure it would make things much more interesting to have to deal with constant rebel attacks as you attempt to hold settlements.

If I could just find out how to make those rebel armies stronger, then that may even slow down some of the AI in other parts of the map too.

Thanks in advance.

They did? Don't download the weaker rebels patch from the bug forum? Third question, why? Rebels are boring. They keep me from getting to the Big Show.

It would be possible to copy the code template of the 5 settlements that are now protected by spawning armies, however it would be a bit of work I imagine. You'd have to ensure the generals' names are unique, decide which units would make up the protector army, spot a good placement for them to pivot around. Possibly more, I don't know the code in detail.

Decimus, he's talking about the scripted protection armies of central europe, not the random eleutheroi stacks, and certainly not the apeleutheroi which were nerfed in the fix.

it's a funny question because at the moment in my Romani campaign, I released Sala from Roman rule and Bam! army of gold chevron numidians, elephants and numidian cavalry appear.

btw, is it possible to get silver equipment upgrade in EB, or is it just a remnant of RTW?

Not possible to get higher than bronze upgrades. Even if you have a temple that may give equipment bonuses (Lusotannan's temple of Nabia for example) plus a blacksmith, the bonus only applies once.
