What's the name of the shield carried by Iphikratous Hoplitai? It resembles the thureos, but the shape is slightly different.
it's just a different looking thureos

And a bit smaller. At least according to the unit description.

According to the historical sources, Iphikrates' peltasts carried 'symmetrical' pelte. What symmetrical means in this case is hotly debated, and suggestions include circular shields, oblong shields, and crescent-shaped shields.

Well, that was Iphicrates' originals anyway - a good century or so earlier than the EB starting date. Lots of water in the Volga since then and all.

If Iphikrates is a century before the starting date, then how come he's at the head of that huge army in Thermon?

Yeah, the name was so unique...
Well, he does keep stopping and saying things like
"When I was young this was all fields. And Phillip of bloody Macedon hadn't stolen my ideas."
