Much sadness, as it seems I must put the brakes on my Post-VC KH campaign fr now. The temp fixes did not work, I have all the permanent fixes, and only Force Diplomacy minimod.
Crash happens during AI Aedui turn or possibly at the very beginning of Sweboz. Happens with and without script being enabled. Happened half a dozen times before I caved and posted. I can't for the life of me figure out what it could be. :help:
Again, sadness. I was hoping to conquer the world. As it is I'm about halfway there in 175 BC.
Any cities about to rebel? Teleport a unit over and besiege them, force diplomacy the city to another faction, or reduce population to make it stop rebelling.

I couldn't find any. Esp since the Sweboz and celts share a culture group. I'll check once more but I was pretty certain no rebelling cities. Definitely no Aedui and unless I'm blind (always possible) no Sweboz.
You could try to control <faction> for each faction in turn, and see when it crashes, like control britons. You can see the internal names in Province-City-Names.xls.
Then do "something different" while controlling it, and transfer control back to your own faction.

I can't seem to get the control command to work. Keeps saying "command not recognized".
It's supposed to be there. Maybe they removed it in some patch :inquisitive:?

Sadness. I can't get the command to work. I DID find a rebelling Sweboz settlement and fixed that but it didn't stop the crash, which now definitely happens during the Aedui's turn. I've tried relieving the siege on Vesontio (vindellicopolis? can't remember the name) but that doesn't work. It may have something to do with the one wandering Aedui FM, but I can't figure out just what it might be, since the trait file nerf didn't work. Oh well. If someone can get me around the crash I'd be mighty appreciative. Could it be that this copy of the RTW install is missing something? I still have the "clean" RTW 1.6 build and when I installed EB back in the day I just copied the RTW folder in its entirety to a new location (my desktop). Maybe it need to reference a file that's missing? :juggle2: Well, until then I guess I'll do a Romani blitz to the Marians campaign, with the added goal of attempting to conquer all the factions that can make Huge cities before they can really make any. Looks like I'll have to live with Alexandreia and Seleukia becoming Huge before I get there, and possibly Baktra. Though I maintain hope that I can keep the rest from getting there (Carthage has already been dealt with less than 10 years in).
I remember there were some similar crashes with Casse in 0.8-something. They were fixed by teleporting over an army and smacking all the armies that were outside of their cities with auto_win. You could try that with the Aedui at least.

:inquisitive: No there's only one Aedui city under siege and I've tried the relieving it deal before and it hasn't worked. The only thing I could possibly think of would be if the lone wandering Aedui noble tried to recruit a merc that was somehow corrupted...and the FM never engages in a battle or whatnot. *sigh*

I was talking the other way around: You go there and besiege them, not lift the siege.

*scratches head* So it prevents the AI from doing anything? If that's the case then I can always try just giving myself enough money to bribe him....or am I missing the point of besieging them? The Aedui are also my loyal allies btw and I'd rather not have to Force Diplomacy if I can avoid it, though if it saves the campaign I'll gladly try. *goes back to typing paper for college*
A city can't rebel while it is being besieged.

But its not a rebellion problem. All the Aedui cities are perfectly fine. Most even have an FM in there to boot.
I was merely telling you why I mentioned sieging, sorry for the confusion. Again, the only way I can see is to do various crap to them such as forcing diplomacy and teleportation to smack around their troops. If it doesn't help, I don't know what can help, sorry.

oop. Oh well thanks anyway. I'll try an earlier save and hope I can get by the point
