They are listed with their coordinates in descr_strat

Roughly, what is the global monopoly theory you're talking about?

if i'm not mistaken, he's talking about how if your faction is the only one controlling all of said resource, your supposed to get an additional bonus to the income your merchants provide (or something to that degree).

Yes, i do believe the co-ordinates are listed in descr_strat, as Monsieur Alphonse said, Strage, how could you make so much money, you would have to get something very expensive, such as gold, and then monopolise that, but other merchants always sieze you assets when on gold

Never heard of that theory, but I would have to try it out if only to disprove it.
I would recommend trying a rare resource like Gold and using the console to move your merchants to every location to make it easier.
I would personally find all the locations for you, but unfortunately I do not even have the game installed right now because i got all :furious3:  :whip: :furious3: on windows and reformatted my C drive while simultaneously installing Ubuntu and taking an oath to punch Bill Gates in the face if I ever see his ugly mug in person. Unfortunately I don't know a damn thing about linux and know only the most basic unix commands so it will be a very interesting learning curve. I suppose eventually I will miss my M2TW and do a dual boot but I am still too angry and too busy learning to have such a hack (P)OS on my system.
Reise ubuntu is the easiest linux distro around so you dont really need to learn anything. just to let you know WINE cant emulate any of the total war games so you have to dual boot or virtualize windows to play them

Cassu
I saw a screen of someone supposedly running M2TW on WINE. The campaign map ocean looked like greenish white noise but they also had a battle screenshot which looked normal, so maybe there is hope.
Sorry for the hijack.
