39.95 looks like alot of money to pay for a game with graphics like that.
I just thought , if anyone likes playing table top. then you will not get a game that plays as historic as this one.
the AI is great. and also fun playing against other guys PBEM.. There are also many Historical battles to play and what ifs.
I know many gamers dont like the hex kind of game . but for those that do. its very good.
Welcome to the Org, Dab! ~
I myself haven't played much in the way of TBS games set in the ancient era. Aside from Rome Total War and Hellenic Total War (a mod for MTW/VI), that's about the extent of my experience. I never really have played hex-based games on the PC. :sweatdrop:

This thread should be moved to the Arena.

Except that then Dab and other junior members wouldn't be able to post in it. ~:)

Welcome to the forum Dab!
The only turn=based Ancient game I have played is this one:
Tin Soldiers: Julius Caesar (http://www.matrixgames.com/games/game.asp?gid=304)
Its a pretty decent game, but does certainly have its downfalls.
Hi Guys. Thanks for the ~
If you think this should be put in the Arena. then please put it there. Or do i have to do the topic again there. .
As i am new here , i was not sure were to post first. I will find this out as time gos on. .
With RTW. the only add on i have used is SPQR . and find it very good.
I have MTW and VTW. but the first ones. never got round to getting the second one..
Tin Solders . yes looks good. but never played it so what is the down side of it please let me know.....But being an old Table top player . i do like the turn base games.
Ahh you like SPQR:TW Dab? if you still have why don't you join my succession game? I have tried to create a unique game but maybe SPQR:TW is just not popular enough, only time will tell.

Well as with all tabletop based games it suffers from bad graphis, as well as aninterface that isn't great. It also is hex based, which is to the taste of some people, but unfortunately isn't translated too well on the computer.

Aaaah.. The wargamer world is such a particular place. Where a good set of rules is above graphics, realism above speed or easiness....
I'm not a wargamer, interested into trying a few times, unfortunately too much time consuming... But to see those guys spending a whole night setting a huge battle in their garage and then play the battle for several days....
