Google have a nack for these jokes. There was Google Paper (http://mail.google.com/mail/help/paper/more.html), Google Toilet Powered Broadband (http://www.google.com/tisp/), Google Mental Plex (http://www.google.com/mentalplex/), Google Romance (http://www.google.com/romance/), Google Gulp (http://www.google.com/googlegulp/) and a Google mission to the Moon (http://www.google.com/jobs/lunar_job.html) a few years back.

In the past though they have tried to trick users - Gmail was released on April fools day one year, making many consider it a hoax when actually it wasn't. The .Org's TosaInu was also the master of bad timing in 2006 when he gave up his post as Forum Administrator to KukriKhaan on the 1st of April (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=63113).
