So, I'm just outside Alexandria (not besieging) when the Ptolemies use the huge Alexandrian army + two one-unit stacks to attack me. No problem. But the problem is, after deploying my forces and clicking "start battle" the game freezes COMPLETELY. I mean, I still hear music, but the graphics are frozen, and there is no response to input whatsoever.

This has never happened before in reinforcement battles, although this is the first reinforcement battle I've fought where the enemy has brought TWO (as opposed to one) reinforcing armies. May that be the cause?

I've never had the game freeze on me just because I was facing against three stacks instead of one or two. Have you tried the battle again? If it doesn't crash, it's probably nothing to worry too much about.

Yeah man I did the same exact battle twice, with the same result.

What I noticed the second time around is that the third army, which I could plainly see, didn't show up on the mini-map, but the other two did. Not sure if this is related, but it's a little odd.

There is a problem tile somewhere near Alexandreia, you may have found it. Try auto-calculating or, if possible, try to fight the battle in a different spot.

Really? Wow, damn the bad luck. Of all the tiles to pick, I picked the ONE tile that causes battle problems! :laugh4: I'll try your suggestion.

There are at least two bad spots on the map, one of them is in Alexandria and another is at a bridge crossing in present-day Turkey.
