I saw this advert online. I've never played a Europa Universalis game. The Map is PRETTY. However, I couldn't find any screenshots of the combat system. Is there one? It seems oddly lacking in the specs......

But shortly - combat isn't like RTW. If it works like their other titles combat is abstract - move your troops into a territory with the enemy's troops and both sides roll 0-9 modified by leader and terrain for how effective they are for each round of combat. Short of the makeup of your army (in EU:3 it's basically Infantry / Cav / Artillery) and assigned commander you don't have a whole lot of options.
