Hi all!
I have been playing EB now for a couple of months, and I really think it's a great game.

When I looked at some '' starting turn guides '', I discovered that some people still have the original RTW campaign map. The EB map is nice etc., but sometimes it gives a strange lagg. Could anyone please tell me how you got that original campaign map (I mean the land and the sea graphics) back to the vanilla ones?

I'm very sorry if this is a question that has been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere on this forum..
And sorry for my crappy English.
Thanks in advance!

The sea doen't slow it down, the script does.

Oh lol I was afraid it would before I post this post.
But sometimes the game laggs when I order an army or a just a unit (diplomat, spy..) to move over multiple turns, but when I order an other unit to move, the lagg suddenly stops... So the reason for that is the script?

So the ppl who have the original RTW campaign map, just have it because they like that one more..?

thanks for the quick answer.

The reason for that particular bit of lag lies in the fact that RTW allows so-called Memory leaks to appear. ... That's not even part of the script; however the script is very demanding in terms of memory & processing power so you will experience it earlier and more severe...

Anyways the reason why some people still use the RTW campaign textures is the EB myth that it would help speed up your game. Really, all it does is a placebo effect.

And you should also look WHEN some of those ''starting turn guides'' were issued - most of them were done on previous versions of EB, i.e. 0.7 and 0.8 - thus naturally using not-so-developed campaign map :logic:
