My Next Door Nehibor went to Austrila for 20 days on a cruise. He Came back Wednesday, and Left Saturday and got there the same day with his wife, son and daughter in law in Mexico. He Laid Down SUnday night because he was "tired" and he never woke up. we got the word yesterday morning that he died. But what is bad is, he is in Mexico. So how do they extacly arrange it?
If you are joking it is not funny, otherwise call the embassy

Call the embassy

In a nutshell depending where you live.
Depending on your embassy not all governments are helpful other then assisting the family members travelling to get home.
It works the same as a funeral at home. You would have a funeral home make arrangements for the bodies return home and then the funeral home at home would continue the arrangements.
Unfortunately what happens in these situations are cost and paperwork. Most people unless religious regions will cremate the body before returning it home because of cost. The other factor is the visiting country will do a post mortem in most cases and then the home country will do a second post mortem and that is where all the paper work comes in making it more stressful for the family grieving their loss.

It's bad enough having a loved one die, but then to have it so far from home. That sucks. Not to mention all the paperwork that needs to be done, whilst your still grieving.
