How do I make the clouds that are in the sea go away (1.1)?

And how to I make 1.1 Alx.exe running?

Why would you want the clouds to go away? They're tied in with the sea animation. If you want the clouds to go away, the sea goes away! And to do a pre-emptive strike, they're not the reason why your campaign map lags. The file is the same size as the vanilla sea, but much prettier!

To get RomeTW-Alx.exe for 1.1, you should read this thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=94861) Of course, it's for 1.0, but if you do the stuff manually, it should work for any version.

That thread doesn't tell you what manual tweaks you have to do. For EB 1.0 I would just change the shortcut line and it seemed to work.
Anyway, I put my BI CD in and did the BI preparation stuff (I gues If I did it but changed "barbarian_invasion" to "alexander" it would work.

If the clouds have no affect fine.

But I have a low end system anyway, and slow moving clouds are more annoying than blank blue.

I can get over lag. I helps revison for tests, one turn, one Al-level question.

It's one of the spoiler tag things. Press the first read button you see. If you don't do the things there, your generals will never die of old age.

Oh, so thats why my first faction leader would not die.

As for the clouds, I can actually say having them on makes no difference.

To do a retaliatory strike, they are not the reason the campaign map lags, for precisely the same reason you gave: the file is the same size.

I think that's what he meant to say, actually :beam:.

I think Korlon meant to say
"they're not the reason"

rather than

"they're the the reason"

Right, exactly. I better change that.
