Im play eb 1.1 and I am Romans and its 227 bc. Pahlava has taken all of the Selecuids settlements, only 2 cities remain. I dont even get to fight the selecuids in my campaign, that kinda sucks.

Give the Seleukids some help then.

Sounds like Mithradates II The Great got a way too premature birth

Could you please post a screenshot of the mini-map, I'd like to analyse the extent of this early behemoth; Previously the Pahlava have gone after northernly areas and not really bothered the AS. It's very rare that the Pahlava dish out this kind of beating.

I know it's off topic but can you give me a link with Parthian-Seleucid battles?

No, I can not. There is no such resource, at least to my knowledge, available anywhere and for good reasons; They are poorly documented and indeed poorly researched. We only know, very sparsely, of campaigns between the Parthians and the Seleucids. Only a few battles, including their locations have ever been mentioned, and these revolve mostly around locations in the Greater Medea, and Mesopotamia, as well as the afamed revolt right into the heart of Parthia/Parthava proper; Very sketchy stuff and all this would supposedly entail warring with both Seleucids and Graeco-Bactrians. Only a few, such as the battle of Ecbatana are mentioned explicitly by name.

Once the Romans come into the picture however, our accounts become infinitely clearer. We get definitive names for the locations of action, e.g. Carrhae, Nisibis, Cyrrhestica, Cilician Gates, Rhandeia, Ctesiphon, Hatra... Et al.

That's a shame...it is a very interesting conflict.

Way back in .80 or .81, Parthia got really freaking powerful. I did get to fight the Seleucid's though. Still, the hordes of Parthia were no fun to fight; I had import a ton of Scythican mercenaries.
