Noob question

I wish to remove a unit from both the single player and multiplayer game.

The unit is the elite liby-phoenician hoplites. I do this because I think they are redundant and I'm not a big fan of the model (why does the shield have an axe on it?) at all.

I'd appreciate any assistance in how to get it outta my game

Removing a unit from the game could really be more trouble than it's worth and lead to all kinds of issues. Particularly in a mod like EB where a lot of the models are shared. I don't have the EB files in front of me at the moment so I can't confirm whether this particular model is shared or not. Also when removing a unit there may be several other files besides just the DMB, EDU, and EDB which may need to be altered. For example if the model happens to be shared with a merc unit? Is the model being removed among the starting forces on the campaign map for one of the FM's?...etc..etc.. Really more trouble than it's worth IMHO. I would just humbly suggest if you do not like the unit, it would be much simpler for you to refrain from recruiting it.

The easiest way would be to remove the recruitement of the unit in question from EDB. The unit is still in the game but won't appear because no one can raise it.

I was planning on getting rid of it in the EDU and EDB and keeping the model and skins and all that, but I couldn't even find its entry in the EDU. I found the other two dorkim leebi-fenikim but not the aloophim which is the one I want. If anyone knows the name its under I'd probably be able to try that and I'm quite sure it should work.

EDIT: Ok I found it lets see if this works.

EDIT2: It's been good so far, I'm hoping I don't get any random CTDs but I should be safe. I'm not playing as Carthage anyway cause the RTR guys spoiled me when it comes to Carthaginian and Iberian units, I just didn't want to see any of those guys popping up in my campaign as pahalva which is awesome now btw.

Also Konny and Lysander you guys are doing a great job, thanks for your help. I'm using the AI formations and the allied legion recruitment with my new 1.1 campaign
