I had some problems with playing EB after playing one short campaign of Phalava (sp).

So i pretty much did everything until i figured out the map.rmw thing.

But still my install validation showed me that i did have some things wrong. It seemed to do some changes but also showed me this

"Missing file: .\data\packs\patch_1.pak"
and changed a few other things. I'll only paste them if someone asks me because the text amount was pretty large.

I am not sure if this patch is something really important or what. I have been playing a few campaign now. Most have gone past 250 B.C. and one is nearing 200 B.C.

I've had a lot of ctd's in my romani campaign. And i seem to be allergic to the Macedonians. "One battle i couldn't load up. But second time i could load it up but as soon as some enemy troops who were assaulting my walls routed. The game ctd'd.

So my question is. Is there a way to cut back on the ctd's who have not been really bugs that i can't get past.

I installed the patch_1.pak after stopping being lazy. But i just wanted to add another question instead. After making "Fog_Of_War: False" i pref. Why do i still have it in the game. As i cannot open romeshell ingame.

Yes, the patch_1 is essential :beam:. But I don't know about the fog of war, I didn't even know it was part of the preferences. Always used the console...

The settings from your save-game override those from your preferences.txt file. So if you saved your game with FOW off, this means, upon reload the FOW will be off - regardless of the setting in the preferences.txt file.

To make the save behave: type toggle_fow in the console. :beam:
