This is probably the result of extreme stupidity but I hsave just downloaded EB 1.1 and clicked on the Single Player button to gett...a CTD. If anyone knows what I have done and/or how to fix it I would be eternally greatful.

did you install it on a clean RTW1.5? if you didn't I wouldn't be so surprised.

unless you are using my computer, than the answer is: yes..
look at the installation for EB1.1 it says specifically: FRESH rtw1.5

yeah but so did eb 1.0, and i didnt have to uninstall 0.8. I just wanna be sure before i unistall 1.0 because i REALLY dont want to lose both versions lol

There was a reccomendation in the install to unistall 1.0

Ahem...I've just remembered that when you re-install a game it does not keep its patches! NOBODY LAUGH!

ah you mean rome vanilla? yeah i found that at first. It helps if instead of opening the patch folders when you go to install them you save them in your rome folder instead so that they are always there. Means you dont have to go searching for them every time

Thats why it is wise to follow Bovi instructions of installing EB, and if you have problems take a look at the bug tread.:shame:

Please check out the installation validation sticky in the help forum and post a new help thread there if you still need help, unless you've already done so.

Could have installed in the wrong place, or have a corrupt install.
