10 install problem

Hi all!
I'm not able to play the EB mod.
I installed RTW Gold Edition with BI. No mods added, but some BI saves. Downloaded the EB 10 on desktop. I installed it in the same folder (i can see EB there). When I double click the EB shortcut the game loads for some 5 minutes (much longer then RTW), then comes the RTW starting movie, then I have an EB screen where I can choose single player. There I can select a faction, prepare a custom battle or a historical battle. When I start (launching the actual game) one of them the game ends and I return to the desktop. RTW and BI work.
Does anybody has a quick solution, please?
I would have to wait some time to reinstall RTW as recomended in the sticky above as I don't have the cd's with me now.

First, I suggest you get EB 1.1. It's the latest version available.

When does it crash? Does it crash when you press the continue button after choosing a faction? Does it crash when the loading bar on the loading screen gets to full and it's about to load, or maybe in the middle of the loading bar? Try using the installation validation as well.

It would appear you are attempting to run EB on BI; while it is not supported, there are guides in the unofficial modding subfora which may prove of help?

The game crashes while loading.
I will look there and if I don't find a solution I'll start again without BI.

If it doesn't work using RTW, try to install vanilla RTW without BI. Worked for some. Then post validation results if it still doesn't work.

It does not use Bi.exe but rtw.exe, so it should not be a problem.
I'll try to install RTW again in the weekend.
