Crusade question

If you are allied to a country that starts a crusade, then i know they can use your ships to reach their target, but if they are defeated should they be able to return to my province (where they launched the attack from)? I had even moved the ship from the sea province to stop them returning!

I'm sure in the reverse situation my crusade disbanded rather than return to by allies province.

Anyone else had this happen?

A Crusade cant return. Either it succeeds and then its not a Crusade anymore and must use own ships or it fails and is crushed.

I've seen this happen as well. A HRE crusade, heading for Antioch used my ships to travel fron Tunisia to Nicaea. Which was odd because: Both the byzants (owning Nicaea) & the Egyptians (owning Antioch), had ships in the way but didnt block it, AND because if the crusade was able to use my ships & ignore the enemy fleets it could have gone straight to Antioch. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/confused.gif
Afterwards, either at the end of that turn, or on the next (I don't recall) the HRE crusade returned to Tunisia.

Basically, the crusade path finding is a little confused at the mo, but hopefully this is being sorted in the patch.
