anyone knows how to retrofit magonel from kingdoms expansion into m2tw basic gameplay?
i luvvvvv the magonel..... wondering whether its possible to bring over to imperial campaign>?

ps..... any1 knows how and where i can mod so that its possible to move ancillaries and retinue?

by the way anyone also knows how to mod so to even out the mercenaries?
for instance christians get to hire muslim units. but not jihadist units alto.
just like horse archers. it'll be great too if let say the ai mongols can hire swiss pikes. dont you think? ai finally can get to form a well rounded army....

Firstly, get the Retrofit Mod. It's made by a developer (Unspoken Knight), and adds a lot of Kingdoms features to the original game. It's really a must-have.

Next, download Yakaspat's Grand Unit Addon mod for the Retrofit mod. It doesn't do anything to unbalance the game, but adds a LOT of Kingdoms units to the game, including the awesome mangonel.

I don't know of a mod that does exactly what you want with the mercenaries, although the Grand Unit mod does make changes to merc pools and adds a lot of new mercenaries, so give it a try.

As for the transferable ancillaries, it's not hard.

Extract the file "export_descr_ancillaries.txt".

Open it up in notepad and you'll see a list of all the ancillaries in the game. Under each is the line that says...

Transferable 0

Change that 0 to a 1 and you'll be able to move them around all you want.

You could do a "replace all" for that line, if you want, but that might make some very odd retinue changes possible, like being able to transfer a Secret Lover to your priests, etc. ^_^
