I've skimmed through the forums, and 99% of the time, it seems, Pope done them bad... ex-comming for fighting back against the aggressors. So I was quite pleasantly surprised when the Pope offered me alliance and broke off the alliance with teh Aragons when they attacked me! I fully expected the Pope to drop me. But he stood by me! And he even went far as to ex-comm the Aragons! How about that, eh?

In the last campaign as the English, (which I finally completed after six Papal reappearences) I had a Val6 assassin whack something like three popes on the bounce before I got sick of the endless papal bitching and slotted the lot of them. Fair play to the Papal posse though, they are a hard bunch to keep pinned down.
