I'm playing an Arverni campaign. I was happy to reach the Time of Soldiers. The only downside being that I discovered that my cheap garrison unit -- Celtic Levy Spearmen -- was no longer recruitable.

Was this intended?

Is there some cheap alternative unit that someone could suggest?

I have Gaul, Germany and Italy so far.

The Lugoae is replaced by the Gaelaiche after the reforms.

Along the same line...

MAA, what happend to the Teceitos (Celtic Axemen) why can't I recruit them after the Time of Soldiers???? (note I don't have 1.1 yet)

OK. I'll just have to pay the extra cost.You can also just use Iaosatae instead. Two of them costs only slightly more than one bunch of Lugoae, and weren't slingers something of a key element in the defense of the oppidias anyway ?

You got "Time of Soldiers?"

How did you get the second reform? In my game, it's like 245 bc, I own all of Gaul and half of Germany. Is there a specific year or am I supposed to build a bunch of temples. Sorry for asking here but I kinda need help on this matter.

-Casse, Arverni, and Aedui must build at least 6 (forum)(L3 Market) collectively
-Casse, Arverni, and Aedui must build at least 4 Large Cities collectively
-Casse, Arverni, and Aedui must build at least 6 Large Temples ('awesome' level)(L3 Temple) collectively
