No, I'm not referring to the book (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisconsin_Death_Trip), album (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisconsin_Death_Trip_%28album%29) or film (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0210389/). Rather, I just found out that my home state is #1 for intoxicated driving in the U.S.A. (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/sns-ap-drunken-driving,0,2076974.story) In other words, if I'm not dead already, I will be soon. Yikes!

You mean that in WI police are more effective at catching them. Which is a good thing. Or maybe people are more honest, or more attention seeking. It is also possible that, in a random sample, a higher amount of drink driving households was chosen in WI than in other states. So many possibilities.

My personal WI driving experience is reduced to a 2 hr dash from Madison to O'Hare - pedal to the metal, the works - but I haven't seen that many drunk driving related accidents at all. Then again, maybe my standard is flexible, since I live in Ireland...

My point is, how reliable are those statistics?

If the beer doesn't get you (one way or another), the food will.

Clearly it's a biased study. They most likely included DUIs on snowmobiles.

Hmm, how does that make it any better? People get killed on their snowmobiles all the dang winter, and it's usually 'cause they're drunk.

I refuse to take culinary criticism from the land of chicken-friend steak (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_fried_steak). Go eat your turducken (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turducken) and get back to me when you've taken your statin drugs to control your arterial plaque.

It's a slight toward Cheddarheads from an FIB. ~;)

If it makes you feel better, I live next to one of the deadliest highways in Washington. :sweatdrop:

College drivers and narrow winding roads don't mix.:embarassed:

You're right Lemur - this is pretty sad. Poor Wisconsin.
